Creamed Spinach with Artichokes

  • Creamed Spinach with Artichokes

2 boxes Green Giant Spinach (the no sauce kind)
    1 can artichoke hearts, chopped
1 cup grated cheddar (Low Fat, I use Kraft)
    1 TBS worcestershire sauce
    LF Half and Half
    Parmesan Cheese

Cook spinach according to package directions, until wilted. Strain and return to pan. Add Just enough LF half and half to coat (this will depend on how much spinach is in the boxes you get). Toss with a few TBS of parmesan Cheese.

Stir in artichokes, cheddar cheese and worcestershire and heat through. To make it creamier, add a few TBS of LF or FF Milk.

Alternate: After mixing all ingredients, pour into a baking dish and bake at 350 until bubbly.

Can be used for a side dish or served with pita chips or crackers for a dip.
  • I assume this is fat free or low fat Cheddar. What are the ingredients in Green Giant creamed spinach? Can I yell FRANKENFOOD?
  • The recipe recommends the creamed spinach (yes FRANKENFOOD!) but I assume just make my own with lf half and half and some parmesan cheese, etc.

I'll even fix that in the recipe, I don't want to promote junk
  • Thanks! That saved me some editing! I can hardly wait to try it now.
