Slimcoffee?

  • Yes, I know-we all need to be skeptical of all of the diet aids out there, and before I get a lecture, I'm fully aware of all of the scams. I'm just curious and looking for info....
Has anyone tried this stuff? I just saw a commercial for it, and the web address is http://www.slimcoffee.com. The commercial and site purport up to 5 pounds a week lost, which is pretty outrageous, but the thing that got my attention was they stated that in "their study", 100% of the participants lost weight, and that 50% of those people also gained muscle mass.
  • Hey rebel..it looks good..I love coffee...
  • Setting the idea of whether Hoodia is effective and safe aside (which is a BIG step for me) there is only one company currently licensed by the research company that found this plant in Africa to distribute it. http://www.phytopharm.co.uk/hoodia_faq.html

The biggest problem is the fact that other companies are not regulated and can say anything they want. Slim coffee says it has hoodia, I would bet it does not, unless it is counterfeit and in a very minute amount.

    A few other information sites...

  • I would agree this is a pretty far stretch. And yes the "fact" (supposedly) that it contains hoodia would be all I needed to hear to know to avoid it. What kind of "magic" will they think up next to earn a buck?

Thanks for the great links, Karen!
  • If you are loosing 5 lbs a week, you can be assured it will be easily gained back
