Dark chocolate Pistachio Bark

  • Here's the recipe for the Pistachio Bark but it is not Phase 1 friendly! It is for Phase 2:

    Pistachio Bark
    Makes 1 pound (40 servings).

    12 (1 ounce) squares
    semisweet chocolate
    1 cup pistachio nuts, shelled
    and toasted


    Directions
    1 Microwave the chocolate in a microwavable bowl on high
    for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Stir until
    completely melted. Stir the nuts into the chocolate. Spoon the
    chocolate and nut mixture onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour until firm. Break into bite-size pieces
    about an inch in size. Enjoy one piece as a treat.

    The interesting thing about dark chocolate is if you make if you put it in an apple for example and put it in the oven - it will taste like milk chocolate. Trust me!
  • Keep in mind, dark chocolate will cause a weight gain if you eat too much of it.
  • I didn't realize that dark chocolate was the same thing as semi sweet? This sounds too dangerous for me to keep in the house!!! lol maybe when we have company at christmas!
