GREAT JOB!! I ran my....er, walked my first 5K in 1999...I wasn't overweight at the time...BUT!!...I had been a smoker for 27 years. I walked it with my wife and daughter, while my son ran it. Since then I have done around 50 5k's and a marathon!! You are well on your way!!! Congratulations dear!!!

  • That is so awesome Laura!
  • That's great - well done! A 10K next??
  • Wow, that's such a great accomplishment!! I've set a goal to run a 5K next September. If all goes well, I'll be at my goal weight and will actually have been doing some running in the previous months --haha! I don't run yet, but every time I've lost a bit of weight and become more fit, I've started running and enjoyed it. My husband's a hardcore runner, and I told him about this goal so he's excited about it and I don't want to let him down. He's fast, though, so I don't think we'll be running it together!!
  • Well done, taekwondomom! Nice time, too. I'm proud of your accomplishment.
  • WTG!!!
  • That's awesome....WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hugs,
    Liv
  • Thanks everyone! I was so pleased to finish under 40 minutes! Now I want to get under 35 minutes
The next race I want to do the 4 mile Wo-Zhaw-Wa Fun Run in Wisconsin Dells. That is September 16.
Then in November there is the Berby Derby, another 5K. (I think there is a 5K in December as well. brrrrrrr!)

Haven't any plan to do any 10K's.......yet.
