question about bread

  • Is it ok to eat 100% multi-grain bread on induction? I know bread is not allowed in induction but what about multi-grain?
  • Bread on Induction??
    Hi Butterfly_dreams!

This is the acceptable foods list for Atkins induction:

If it isn't on this list...it shouldn't cross your lips!

    All the best to you!

  • Nope. No bread allowed.
  • Hi,

I can understand the question and the confusion. On the atkins site at: http://www.atkins.com/articles/atkin...tion-meal-plan

there is a 2 week "induction meal plan" which lists bread from day 1. Of course it is ATKINS brand bread, but it is clearly listed.

Confusing!!!!! The meal plan does not seem to correspond to the induction acceptable foods list. Is anyone else confused on this????

thanks for any help and/or advice!
  • For me I can't even eat low carb bread. I'd be careful. Judy H

Try the recipe for Revolution Rolls - I think it's in the recipe section. I know, it's not BREAD - soft, squishy and sweet bread. BUT, my aunt used them and said she piled them up all different ways - made them into hot dog buns, hamburger buns, hoagies...
Also, lettuce makes for a great "wrapper"
Burger salad - throw all the stuff you like most about a burger into extra lettuce and chow. No bun and only low carb ketchup - but it's a hit at my house.
The bread is scary to do without at first, but it will get better. There's ways you know.
