King Size Chicky Here...

  • Hello, my name is Carol. I'm 38 and I've been overweight my entire life. Surprisingly though I don't have a low self-image or anything. I actually do like myself.

I've been on many diets and all of them failed so I just embraced the fact that I was going to be fat. But then I got a wakup call. I started banging into doorways (misjudging the width - thought I could fit through easily but I couldn't) and that really hit home with me. Since then I've been on a mission to lose the fat. I'm taking a number of steps in doing this but I'll save it for another thread as there's bound to be one here with the actual methods or techniques we're all using.

Hope to get to know you guys better. If this place has a pm feature, feel free to pm me anytime.

  • Welcome...I had a wake up call similar. I went to 6 Flags and couldn't ride some of the rides because it was to uncomfortable and embarrasing.

Looking forward to getting to know you!! I tried to PM you, but I don't think you have enough posts or haven't been a member long enough to receive those.

    Hey Alex,

I know what you mean. I went to Kennywood Park here in Pittsburgh (years ago) and barely fit in one of the rollercoasters. I forced myself in and it was the post painful ride ever. I haven't been back ever since and I love amusement parks. I feel comfortable saying this out loud - I've never told anyone that. Anyway, I have a list of things I want and one of them is to be able to go to an amusement park.

    My pm's work now.
  • Thank you Mel and you are absolutely right!!! Maintainence is a doozy! But I have a way to go for that 100+ lbs. in fact.

    I love this place!!
  • Hi!!
