  • Quote: Well today is another day. Got on the scale again this morning and i can't believe it--the three lbs were gone!
    I was amazed.
    Told ya, sweetie

It won't be the last time, either. So if you want some Chinese food, just take care not to eat it too often, but enjoy it when you do and drink lots of water during the meal and after as well.

And don't get on the scale, lol.

One time we had dinner with family and we had fixed a huge pot of ham and green beans. You know, yummy fresh green beans from a farm market simmered in a pot with ham pieces, a ham hock, bouillon cubes to add more flavor, all that fun sodium-rich stuff. My stupid butt got on the scale the next day and I was up 5 pounds.

    I almost fainted.

Even though we know it's water weight, it's still very discouraging to see those numbers go up on the scale. You try to say over and over to yourself, "It's just water weight! It's just water weight!" But there's something about the visualization of the numbers on the scale - they freak ya out, lol.
  • Yesterday, while reading this thread I was eating Chinese food. I just had some veggies and chicken, but thanks to this thread I was scared to get on the scale this morning. SIX POUNDS! If I hadn't read this thread I probably would have ripped my hair out.

And today, I'm eating Chinese food again.
  • Well all I can say was that was a real eye-opener. I had no idea... This it the first time we had Chinese in about 6 months, so I was really totally floored. I thought maybe I had gotten up in the middle of the night and ate a side of beef while I was sleep walking. whew. Nope, never again!
  • I haven't brought chinese food in a long time. I have the weight watchers cookbook Take out tonight. It has a lo mein and beef/broc. and chicken recipe that is so good. I am a calorie counter and I just don't know what is in those dishes.

Ithought I was the only one to take off my rings and hair pins when I weigh.
