Turbo Jam?

  • I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I will try. Has anyone tried the turbo jam that has been advertised on tv. It looks like it would fun and a great workout. Any comments before I buy. I need to tone up bad. Everything jiggles way too much.
  • Me too Mel...I jiggle in more places now than ever. Even though I've been exercising since Jan., I still "jiggle" a lot and really need to tone up. I 've seen it advertised and read a lot of posts about it. I'm just a little hesitant b/c I'm 49 and don't know if it would be too hard for me to do. Hopefully someone will have an answer.
  • I heard of it ...but I never tried it...it looks like it would take away my jiggles too....hahaha.....I mean sometimes there are shirts I cant wear because my tummy shows....blah.....hahah...I am so considering....I dont know how much it is ...I am going to look online to see if there is a good deal....
  • There is actually a thread on this here on 3 fat chicks. I think I found it under excersise?.
  • I love turbo jam It is the best and most fun exercise video I've ever tried.
  • There is a looong thread on Turbo Jam in the Fitness Videos section...alot of the ladies LOVE it! I can't wait to order it.
  • i love turbo jam!! I've been doing it for a month straight and have lost 26inches so far. It makes you feel strong and powerful but it's fun and you can dance it up too. Not too complicated and once you get the workouts you're addicted
  • I asked for TurboJam for my birthday ^_^ I absolutely love it as well... It really is a lot of fun and the time goes by very quickly!
  • Hi!

I've had Turbo Jam since summer and use it as part of my exercise plan. I'm 55 and not especially coordinated but find that I can do it nearly as well as the participants on screen. It takes a bit of practice, but a number of the routines follow a pattern from DVD to DVD which helps. I particularly like the way that it has helped my coordination, my balance, and my overall feeling of fitness. The interval training (learning the routine then doing it faster in the TURBO segments) is especially good for developing cardio fitness, and since I'm really sweating as I go, I KNOW I am getting a workout. You don't have to commit hours to it, either. Twenty to thirty minutes does it. I like that!

Since I added Turbo Jam to my workouts I feel much more energetic! I mentioned in another thread in the fitness section that I raked leaves for FOUR HOURS the other day and had plenty of energy to do it with just a few water breaks in between. Having that kind of energy is really important to me being 55 and considered a "Senior Citizen!"

Chalene Johnson is VERY upbeat and encouraging! She helps ME to feel upbeat and happy about my efforts, too!

Heading off now to TURBO JAM "Cardio Party 3"!!!

  • I love turbo jam, but I can only do it a few times a week cause it aggravates my knees if I do it too often. Turbo jam is so much fun and it has great music!
  • I havent tried TJ but I am planning on getting it because A) I am bored with the videos that I have, and B) I need to shock my body with something different.
  • There are quite a few threads on this on the Exercise forum. I love TJ. It is a great workout. I didn't lose the 10 lbs. or 10 inches in 10 workouts like they claim though. But I do find it to be an excellent workout and certainly it burns quite a few calories.
  • I have tried Turbo Jam and it is fun and will work but I actually found something that is even better, especially for tightening up all of your muscles. Try HipHop Abs. (www.hiphopabs.com) I just ordered it and it is sooo fun, really addicting and it gives results so quickly. Ive only been doing it for a week and I feel so much healthier, my stomach is much tighter and ive lost inches from my thighs, waist, hips and chest. in just a week! I love it.
