Inches instead of pounds???

  • I don't weigh myself. I go by measurements and gauge my progress in inches lost and how my clothes fit. Is there any reason I can't continue to do this for my progress with SB? I don't see why not? I will be adding exercise so I know that I'll be losing some inches that way but expect SB will help move that along quite nicely! My DH will most likely continue to weigh.

Thanks! Everyone is so nice and helpful here!
  • Absolutely no reason not to do that, in fact I think it's a great idea. I wish I had taken measurements before I started. I do know my new black pants can now slip off without undoing the button and zipper!

So many of us are obsessed by the scale and freak over the daily fluctuations. I'm one of them.
  • great idea b/c inches don't lie like scales do!
  • A friend of mine took ribbons and cut them to her measurements, labelling each. After she lost some weight, she measured again and made a new set of ribbons in a different colour. It was a very visual reinforcement! (She made a patchwork pillow out of the ribbons when she had lost 100 pounds!)
  • what a cool idea, if i bulk up again I'm gonna do it, lool
