Ten Pounds Gone At Last!!! Yippeee!!!

  • Today at my WW meeting I got my 5 lb. star to put on my 5 lb bookmark so now I'm celebrating a loss of 10 lb. in 8 weeks. Not spectacular....certainly not as fast as I'd like....but I'll take it....gladly.
    Why did I lose 3 pounds this week? Who knows? Last week up 2+ pounds and this week down 3+. It's a mystery to me. I have a long way to go and I guess slow and steady is the best path for me to take.
    I'm not advocating that everyone go on WW. If low carb is working for you, by all means stick with it. For me, right now, this woe seems to be working, albeit slowly. Limiting high carb foods while still enjoying whole grain breads and one fruit with yogurt a day, limiting but not eliminating fats, the occasional potato, pasta or rice meal all help to keep my blood glucose on an even keel.
    Last night I wondered why I felt so peckish and kept returning to the crackers and cheese and nuts. I knew I had my WW weigh-in coming up this morning so I should have been extra careful. Then I remembered that I'd broken down and had a regular ice cream cone in mid-afternoon. That's what probably made my blood sugar rise and caused me to have cravings throughout the evening. Live and learn, Chicks. Live and learn.

    I haven't posted here on 3FC's in many, many months. I come back and read posts to keep up on everyone now and then though.

    It sounds like your WW/LC Combo is just what you needed to get back on the losing track.

    If it works, stay with it!.
