However, I know I am going to LOVE this thing... I have been through SIX of them in the last 6 months or so; they all stop working. And even when I accidentally reset it... I could click on the Memory and get my morning steps in the "yesterday" field LOL. I love being able to see my aerobic steps!! Wow that really kept me moving LOL.
Oh and Wyellen, yes! Mine also says it is way over 3000 steps for a mile and I KNOW better than that for me! The mileage is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off! I am glad to see your post, as I thought I was losing my mind LOL. But I would agree... it shows about 2/3 of the actual mileage.
And LOL it amazes me that they tell you to carry it in a PURSE! LOL I certainly don't carry a PURSE when I am out walking!!! If I have to have anything at all (usually not) it is a small backpack!
I am pretty convinced that my belly roll broke two of them. The first one broke when I went up a flight of stairs. I guess between my jeans and belly roll that was too much pressure. I heard something drop and bounced. Yep you guessed it. It was the pedometer with a broken clip and got finished off with the two bounces I heard. This one last about 2 months cost me 8.99
The second one broke when I went and sat down on a bench at the park. That one had a life span of 2 weeks $3.99
The third one today. I could not imagine it breaking like the others! lasted 2 hrs, pulled up my shirt to see how much it count, shirt got caught on the edge as I pulled my shirt up from it and snap the other half of the clip stayed in my shorts.... and for the life span costing 20 bucks is a lot of money for 2 hrs
I do have a forth one that was gave to me but I am convinced it was gave to me for punishment!!!!!! One I think it is the greatest liar of numbers, two it sings when you walk!!!!! I DON'T LIKE THAT!!!!! I find it quite annoying, and it talks. A voice that accompanies me.. I feel I am going crazy. If not so you'll have plenty of people that will look at you like you are crazy because they hear this little voice talking. "Step link 100" "you walked one mile"
I begin to think pedometers were made for skinny people with flat board stomach.
The Omron may be my blessing that I am looking for!
