how much weight loss?

  • How much weight loss has everyone experienced, and how long did it take for you?
  • Hi Megan ,

I lost about 9lbs in the first two weeks of P1. I didn't cheat once though. I'm restarting P1 this week (due to a weekend full of birthday parties ). I'm hoping to lose again.

and hope you have an OP day!
  • Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
I lost 8 pds in the first 1.5 weeks - then for some reason I started slacking - so tomorrow I'm restarting phase 1.
Hope you have a great day!!!!
  • Week One - 3 lbs
    Week Two - 4 lbs
    Week Three - 2 lbs
    Week Four - 1 lb
    Week Five - 1.5 lbs

I struggle with not being impatient - but they say it's much healthier to lose 1-2 lbs per week and your chances of keeping off are greater if you lose it slowly. Hang in there - you can do it!!!
  • I have lots 70 pounds since 5/22/04. It has really slowed lately but I was losing 6-8 pounds per month for quite awhile.
  • Barb - you are an amazing inspiration!!!!
  • HI there...I need to inspire myself rightg now too...LOL...Jan 12, 2004 was my start date and I fell off the wagon around June, 2005 though in that time lost 80 pounds...gained 40 bach (OUCH) since then, though got back on the wheel at least last Monday and have lost 7 pounds in 7 days!
Good luck to you! (and me, LOL)
  • Hi, Beachies!

Yes, I think Barb's an inspiration too! We have lots of inspiring chicks here.

I started SBD on April 26, 2004. I lost 28 pounds during my two weeks of Phase 1. That's crazy, I know...but it's true. I had been eating anything and everything I wanted for over three years...I probably ate anywhere from 20-35 servings of bad carbs/sugars a day! I didn't cheat at all in P1 and I ate only at home until my 12th day, when we had dinner at Ruby Tuesday. I also weighed 328...so being very heavy played into a large weight loss, too.

By the following December, I had lost 96 pounds. I reached ONEderland in the fall of 2005 (I think?) and have been pretty much holding steady in the 190s ever since. The closer you get to goal, the harder it is to lose! But I LOVE this way of eating and will be doing it for life, so I don't let the last 15-20 pounds get me down. It'll happen!
