Things I can do now that I'm thinner...

  • I thought I'd put a positive spin on this, maybe it'll help us to realize how far we've come

    things I can do now...what are yours?

    1) wear normal jewelry, necklaces & anklets
    2) wear normal clothes and not have to go to the fat lady section
    3) hold my head high when I talk and not be embarassed that the person I'm talking to has to look at me.

    I can go on the rides at the theme parks with my daughter, and not have to worry if I'll fit in the seats!

    Finding clothes that fit and look awesome!!
  • Fit in an airline seat and buckle the seat belt without an extender.
  • Walk and stand up from a sitting position without my knee hurting.
  • thought of more!

    1) make love easier
    2) look at swimsuits without being embarrased of what people are thinking
    3) go to my dd's school events without embarrasing her
    4) not be embarrased to share my size when all my co-workers order matching uniforms
  • feel bone underneath the skin
  • Sherry - that reminds me, I can now see my collarbone.
  • When I lie on my right side I can feel my hipbone and ribs!!!! Now that was exciting. I thought they were buried under there.
  • I can bend over and breathe at the same time.
    Have more energy to do things instead of huffing and puffing after a few steps.
    Look in the mirror w/out wanting to barf.

  • Things I can do now:
    1. walk a little without getting out of breath
    2. take fewer medications
    3. qualify for a liver transplant now that hypertension and diabetes are both under control with the weight loss
    4. wear much smaller clothes and shop at any store I want
    5. get out of the house without worrying about what others are thinking of me.
    6. go swimming
    7. go dancing
    8. have a sexual relationship with my DH without feeling like it's killing me
    9.mow my yard and weed my flower bed without feeling exhausted
    10. take care of my own personal hygiene without assist from DH
    11. scratch my back
    12. tie my shoes
    13. ride comfortably in a vehicle
    14.get off the floor or chair without assistance and without grunting
    15. play with my grandbabies
    16.take my big dog for long walks
    17. attend my DD's school functions
    18. go with my son while he plays golf
    19. Enjoy life for a change, instead of sleeping it away
    20. I can now feel my hip bones, every rib and my clavicles stand out
