Lunch: Can of Healthy Choice Split Pea Soup

Snack: FF cottage cheese and peaches

  • Where did you find that avatar? I love it!
  • Uh…that message was directed to p.a.
  • Those "pounds lost" avatars are located in your User CP area. Let me know if you want to change yours and need more help.
  • Also, p.a., what is "L.O. Ham" and "L.O Potatoes"?

Vickie: Healthy Choice Split Pea Soup sounds good! I never think about having canned soup. Is that brand very high in sodium? Do you think the sodium could affect your weight in a weigh-in? Well, I just won't have it the day before.
  • It's actually very low in sodium. I'm a salt addict and I'm always tempted to salt the soup! I have a can here so I'll go check it. Hang on.
  • The can says 40% less sodium. One serving is 480 mg and the can is almost 2 servings. I eat the whole can. It's very thick and has ham, carrots, and potatoes in it. I called WW headquarters way back in the beginning to see if it was Core since it wasn't listed in the CFC. They said yes and it doesn't have to count as your once a day potato serving either. I've been eating it ever since! I don't notice any problem with the sodium for the weigh in.
  • Laura, LO = leftover. Don't worry, it took the rest of us a while to figure it out too!
  • Thanks for you quick replies! Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know what LO stood for!!! Vickie, I'm going to get some cans of that soup today! It'll make for some variety. Thanks again!

I've been on core since the end of last March. In that time I have lost almost 30 pounds. There are a lot of members in my group who have lost the 30 faster or who have lost almost twice as much in those 10 months. But I don't care. I don't think of it as a race. I never say, "I need to lose ___ pounds in ___ weeks [or months or year!]" I think I'll have more of a chance of keeping it off.

Someone at my meeting told me about 3FatChicks. What a cool site! And I love that there are threads dedicated solely to WW core. (Well, I'm sure that there are on WeightWatchers.com, too, but you guys seem like such a friendly, knowledgeable bunch!)
