Donate those bigger clothes!

  • Not only does getting rid of your clothes that are too big for you now help motivate you and make it much harder and less convient to return to your original weight... it could help people in need!

I was talking with a friends mother the other day who works at a store like Goodwill and she was complimenting me on my weight loss and ask if I would donate my clothes that are to big now to the store.. She said they barely ever receive plus size clothes, this is true almost everywhere. (Mayb thats because most people are gaining weight and getting rid of their smaller clothes, unlike US!)

SO GET OUT YOUR PLUS SIZE CLOTHES AND DONATE THEM TO A LOCAL CLOTHING CHARITY! Plus it feels great to help people in need!
(Keep just one pair of pants and shirt, so u can see how much u've lost!)
  • thanks - this is just what I needed to get my closet whipped into shape

I am going to give away all of my exand-a-waist pants this week !
  • I heartily agree with this. I've always donated my too big clothes, as soon as I've replaced them with something that fits. I don't want anything hanging around that's bigger than my current size. It also made me feel like I wasn't wasting money buying interem clothes that I only wore for a couple months. I knew that when they were too big, they would be put to use by someone else.
  • Yes, it is much appreciated and helps keep you from backsliding.
  • I know that donation is probably a good idea, but I will likely never do it because I am afraid of backsliding. Maybe one day I'll have the confidence, but I'm not there now.
