Introduction

  • Hi Everyone! My little friend Pookie told me about this forum, so I thought that I would check it out. I had RNY surgery a little more than a year ago, and have lost 120 pounds. I've gone from a size 24 to a size 4/6 (depends on the outfit). I look at pictures of myself and don't recognize me. I am still trying to adjust my head to my body size. When I go to buy clothes I always seem to try on clothes that are three sizes too large before I actually get things that fit. I have a feeling that everyone here knows what I'm talking about

I'm married, and have four children. I'm a RN, and a part-time photographer. Look forward to getting to know everyone!

No fair teasing us. Show us some of those photos!

    And WOW -- congratulations!
  • I wanna see photos too!

Welcome to you, What a great achievement to have dropped 120 pounds. Congratulations!
  • What's RNY?

  • Welcome to the group! I am a newbie here too.
I started weight watchers as my last ditch effort because I want to get weight loss surgery done. I have joined weight watchers 5 times now. Once when I was 14(from Nov-May lost 30 lbs), once when I was 17(had gained 10 lbs), at 23 (for two weeks but didn't want someone telling me what to do!), at 30 I joined LOVED it was doing great almost at my 10% and an ex boss showed up at MY meeting so I quit. Now I am 32 and this is it.
Congratulations on your weight loss. My mother and I are both 100 lbs or more over weight. We were talking how when we look in the mirror we see someone so different (skinnier and prettier)than what is in the pics. So I guess you have the opposite going on!
  • Hi and welcome. I too would love to see some pics.
  • Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

    Yes, what Pookie said

Goalnorolls, congrats on your progress at WW. I have a friend who has lost 65 pounds with WW, and has kept it off for three years. She is such an inspiration.

Pookie is very right, I do keep busy and about to get busier. My dh just got deployment orders. So, I'm going to be a single mom for a while.
  • Monica!
