I'm steamed, and I'm not broccoli

  • Last week my co-worker asked me a question. He said, "What are you going to do when you give up your healthy lifestyle?" I didn't think about it too much at the time. Then I started thinking about what he really said. Then I got mad. He is assuming that I will gain back all the weight I've lost and go back to eating garbage and sitting on my patootie all day. To him, it is a foregone conclusion that I will fail. In the past, I have lost weight, and regained it all plus more. But I know in my heart, mind, and soul, that my reasons for losing this time are different. I know how to lose weight, and finally, I have a plan for how to maintain the weight loss. I believe I can do it!! I know I can keep it off!!

This is war. If he thinks six months from now he'll be saying I told you so, he's got another thing coming. I'm not a fool. I'm not weak. I will do this great and wonderful thing for my body and my spirit. We all can do it. I'd just like to send a big "high five" to all you out there. Go team 3FatChicks. Yeah!! Get that weight off and keep it off.

O.K. Someone has had a little too much caffiene today.
  • High five to you Autumn, for your positive attitude in the
    face of your thoughtless co-worker!

Maybe you should tell him that if he doesn't have anything
positive to say, he can keep it to himself!

    Keep up the good work!
  • I love your attitude! I'm really glad you're not letting people like that get you down. Way to stay positive! I know you can do it with an attitude like that.
  • Prove the jerk wrong!! Keep up the great work
  • You go girl!!!!!!!!!

And everyone around here!!!!!! LETS ALL JUST DO IT!!!!!!!! and prove all these negative people wrong!
  • I agree, we all have people like that in our lives....You will feel so good when you prove him wrong!!!! Good luck to you.

People like that (IMO) have nothing better to do than look for failure in others because they are not happy/proud of themselves for something/anything.
  • That guy has got some nerve. You are going to show him up, Autumn!
  • In the past, I would have probably agreed with my co-worker. I would have resigned myself to another failure. But not this time. I AM GOING TO DO IT!

If you believe you can do something, that's half the battle. If you believe you can't, then you've already lost.
  • You go Autumn, showing up my hubby is a extra boost for my motivavtion....he he, let the anger become you fuel buddy
  • I know I don't know you, but I'm proud of you. It's so easy to allow comments from inconsiderate people to get you down, but you've already proven you're a stronger person by not allowing it to. Good for you! Keep up the good work. Great job on your weight loss so far! Can't wait 'til I'm there.
