Krusteaz low carb products

  • I'll be fall soon and I really like baked products when the weather gets cooler. I was wondering if the krusteaz muffins are alright?
  • What stage of Atkins are you on? If you are in induction, they are probably not OK. If you have done the OWL rungs and are at the grains rung, you could probably eat them. Basically, you'll need to look at the ingredients and if everything on the ingredient list is OK, then the finished baked product is OK.

I don't know what's in the Krusteaz mixes, but any soy flours would be OK once you've done the legume rung and whole grains once you've done the grain rung.

I would be very careful, however, because they will still have a fairly high carb count and depending on what your carb level for losing weight is, you may need to exercise major portion control.

    I hope this helps.
  • I haven't tried that brand (let me know how they are!!!) . I've bought the ketogenics and they're ok. If you want to make your own....CarbSense has their own bake mix and if you look at their website it gives recipes
  • Thanks! I on the 2nd week on induction so I know next week I will add in some more
vegatables. I guess I'll have to find something esle to enjoy on those cool mornings because it will be fall in about 4 weeks.
