  • Does anyone know anything about working out on a trampoline (a big one, not the little exercise ones)?? How long should I do it, and are there any strengthening moves I can do on it?? If u have any tips please share!!
  • I really don't know anything about trampoline workouts, but my kids did take some lessons when they were young and they came out of there in a sweat after an hour!

There are many helpful sites on mini trampoline workouts and videos, but sorry I can't help you with the large regular ones. Is it that you have on in your back yard and you need to know how to use it?
  • Yes, it's in the backyard and it's just been sitting there for a couple years, not being used. But I get winded from jumping for only 5 min. so I figure it's good cardio and it's gotta be great for my legs and butt.
  • If you live in a large enough town it may be possible that someone give classes and this could be something fun to do along with your regular workouts...
  • big trampolines
buy yourself a heart rate monitor and stay in the fat burning zone for as long as you can. if you get winded, sit down until your pulse comes back down. if you can do 20-60 minutes or more, you are burning a lot of fat.

don't forget to stretch before and after and warm up and cool down.

I lost 17 pounds in 5 weeks doing that.

    - weightless
  • Weightless -- Great idea on the heart monitor, I always forget about those thingies...
  • Wow!! 17 pounds in 5 weeks?? That would be great for me because I need to lose 18 pounds in 7-8 weeks. Thanks for the advice!!
  • Has anyone ever tired the urban rebounder or the body burner trampoline?
  • I have the urban rebounder and don't use it as much as I should but it gives you a really good workout. I definately recommend it.
  • You might try finding a copy of G-force with instructor Tracie Long. It was put out by Fitprime a few years ago and is out of print new, but you can find it on ebay and other swap sites. I have never tried it but those who have it tend to love it. I heave herd there are leg press type moves, and you will get in weighted work, but since I have never had a copy I can;t really give much info on it personally.
  • I have just bought a Body Burner Trampoline. It arrived 4 days ago so early days yet. I am using it in the morning before i go to work and following the video workout but i am not sure whether this is enough linked to a 1200 cals daily diet. I would welcome any comments from anyone who has used this system to help their weight loss.
  • I have a trampoline in the back...

When I get a little lighter, I plan to add it to my workout schedule. You wouldn't think jumping on it would be a workout but it is.. Also, I plan to jump on it with a jump rope to get ready for the day when I am light enough to jump rope on the ground without injury.

    It is fun exercise.
  • If you have FitTv, coming up in april, they are running "rebounding" session which I bet are similar to that urban rebounder. I plan to tape them.
  • Yeah! I found the trampoline thread!
This is the whole reason I joined this place. I was doing a search online for trampoline excercises and this poped up. I joined so I could comment. Then I couldn't find it, and here it is!
We orderd a trampoline online and it should arrive on Thursday. We are VERY excited!
JAYDE~ I'm going to have to try the jump rope!
Weightless~ I wouldn't of even thought about warming up and down, !

I will post how it goes.. How long does it take to put one of these together? It's a 14 foot round trampoline.

Wow.. a fellow trampolinist! Nice to meet you. Ours is either 13 or 14 feet in diameter.. I can't remember which. It didn't take long to assemble at all. Thanks to the trampoline I am now able to jump on the ground without struggle. I love it.
