  • Hi, Faylene and welcome!

Yes, you are doing this right.

Even though 182 seems like a long way to go, it's actually much closer to your goal weight, and the closer you get to goal, the slower things go. You have less body weight and your body needs less calories, so you may need to cut back a little, or change how many servings of starches (good carbs) and fruit you are eating. Also, have you added in exercise yet? Exercise will jump start your weight loss, and can help you build lean muscle mass, which allows you to eat slightly more. That increased muscle mass will also help you burn calories even while sleeping. It's a good thing! Try doing some cardio and some strength training, starting slow and building up over time.

You'll find tons of helpful advice in the Exercise and Ladies Who Lift forums, and you can also join the April Exercise thread here for motivation.

Keep drinking lots of water, try switching up what you are eating, and add exercise. I bet that'll do it!
  • Faylene, welcome to the Beach!
  • Congrats on coming back to the beach!! I started phase 1, again, 4 days ago and I'm going strong, so you can do it too! Besides your past the hard part! Where in Maine are you? I'm in Brunswick :-)
