Weight Training Question?

  • I have been lifting weights for about 4 months....I am fine on the upper body. (in fact people are always saying I am getting thin) but the lower body is a real challenge. I checked out Bill Phillip's book from the library and what he has to say is really impressive! Anyone tried his program or have any suggestions on lower body workouts? I also walk and work out on the stationary bike?
  • The Bottom Half
    Candy: I do the elliptical cross trainer, plus the gym I visit has a unit called "Total Hips".

    It's got 4 different resistance exercises you can do for hips, thighs, bum and belly, and it's a killer workout!
    I also do split squats with freeweights. After all that, my hamstrings can really feel it. I've lost about an inch off the "problem area" in the last 2 weeks...

    Re Body for Life, I haven't read it, but from reading the thread here I found out about alternating days for top and bottom, which is a great idea. Really works for me.
