The most aweful week!

  • I just spent the most aweful week in Jury Duty. It was a terrible case. We convited a man of Two counts of sexual assault on a minor with a pattern of abuse, and two counts of sexual explotation of a child. It was so sad... I never want to go through anything like that again. It's been so terrible. I'm sorry... I just had to get this off my chest and let everyone know why I haven't been around!
  • I'm sorry it was a traumatic experience, but I hope you can take some comfort in the fact you took part in the process that convicted this creep and put him away (hopefully for a long, long, time) where he can't abuse a child again.

    Welcome back.
  • That does sound like a terrible week. It must make you look at the world differently now.
Atleast it wasn't one of those long cases that last for weeks or months.
Were the lawyers any good? Was it easy to be misled or did it seem very clear to you from the beginning.
Sometimes I can be easily swayed - then I get confused.

    Glad to have you back.

    Dana
  • Welcome back. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I've had to cover a couple of those trials for the paper before and I'm glad that I didn't have to be in there for the whole thing.
