Hey everyone!
Missing in action again, I was.
Lisa - I love the names you picked out for your almost-daughter. I have a friend named Lindy, and Emma and Grace have always been favourites of mine!
TG - sorry to hear about your car - I always had a great fear that automatic car washes would tear things off my car, so I drove with a *very* dirty car for a long time until I finally gave in!
Star - I just got back from the dentist today, though I was lucky - no cavities (of course - I have no cavities when I *finally* have a plan that actually pays for some of it! Yeesh!)
Jina - Congrats on the raise! That's great that you've been enjoying the gym - I've become quite the fan of weight training in the past 2 months - I like feeling myself get stronger and actually be able to notice it when I carry things around.
Robin - Good luck on getting your seating corner set up!
Brenda - ugh, we are covered in ice too. I had a near miss just trying to get to my vehicle today. I had to lean on the vehicle while walking around it just to make sure that I didn't take a big fall. It's ridiculously icy out there!
Hi Jane & Spedmom!
Other than what I thought was going to be a traumatic experience at the dentist this morning, nothing too exciting is going on. I've been doing a bit of searching on the web for companies in Edinburgh that I can apply to. I'm first going to try and find something related to engineering, but if I'm not having luck, I'll start branching out more. I am still awaiting to receive my Working Holiday Maker visa for the UK, though the refusal rate is like 0.7% so I'm not too worried that I will get it. And I've been making some lists about what else I have to do ... like get my International Driving Permit, notify the health insurance that I'm leaving the country, etc. etc. Lists upon lists upon lists, I have!
But anyway, I still have time, as it's probably not for a month that I'll leave.
Anyway, gotta go,
Julie
