Coleslaw Dressing?

  • Does anybody have a good recipe for nonfat (preferably Core or modifiable to make it Core) coleslaw dressing? I've been using FF Miracle Whip and horseradish, plus added sweetener, but it still seems to be lacking something.
  • I found this recipe on 3FC and we love it with some added pepper. DH and I don't ususally like slaw, but this is yummy.

    Creamy Coleslaw
1/4 cup fat free Miracle Whip
    2 T. sugar
    3 cups shredded cabbage
    1/4 cup shredded carrots

Whisk together the Miracle Whip and sugar. Blend into vegetables and chill well.

  • Daniel, I don't know if it is available in your area, but I buy a fat free coleslaw dressing in the refrigerator secion of my grocery store that is great. It is called Jimmy's fat free cole slaw dressing and it is only 1 point for 2 Tablespoons. Otherwise, looking at the ingredient list, it looks like it has onion, celery seed, mustard seed and tumeric. I obviously don't have the amounts, but maybe these can be a place to experiment with yours?
  • Okay, here's another one I found on cdkitchen.com that doesn't sound like it would be too bad and that maybe could be adapted:

    salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons granulated sugar or Splenda
1 clove garlic, crushed, peeled, minced
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or, balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

    Good Luck
  • I recieved this recipe from here but we live it on it now. Awesome. Sorry can't give credit.
1 cup ultra low fat mayo (16-25 cal)
    1 tsp salt
    4 tbsp splenda
    1/4 tsp dry mustard
    1/4 tsp celery seed
    2 tbsp cidar vinigar
    1/2 cup water
    2 bag of coleslaw
    1 cup 2 points
mix 1st 5 ingredients with coleslaw and enjoy
  • I know this won't cure your creamy coleslaw craving but I eat tons of this and it is no point. Its vinger slaw. Growing up I always ate it with Barbque (north carolina style not the saucey grill kind) but now I eat it all the time
    Shredded cabbage
    Vineger
    sweetner
    touch of oil
    add to taste:
    salt and pepper
    hotsauce

I ussually shred a head of cabbage in the food processor athen add in the other stuff until it looks good and juicey. It keeps in the fridge for a while maybe a week. and my WW leader said no points!
