Grinnin' like a fool

  • So I finally broke down and got on the scale at the YMCA...down to 267 and a half! Almost ten pounds gone in three weeks! I'm pleased as punch, especially considering that I almost didnt work out at all today. I stayed late at work for some clinicals (I'm taking a course in veterinary assisting) and I didnt get out of there till nearly 2:30 and I needed to be leaving the Y by 3:30 to get kids off buses. I nearly bailed but told myself "No, 45 minutes is better than nothing." I actually got most of my workout done!

    I read a great tip in a slimming magazine the other day. It said mark your workouts in your diary, and treat them like an appointment that can't be broken.
