  • am i allowed to say that i've been added to the Skinny Daily Post???

    honest!!! does that count?
  • Sure it counts! Congratulations! I receive The Skinny, but haven't taken time to read the last three or four. They're still in my Skinny folder, LOL.
  • <shock!!!> you didn't read my post today about those DA... cookies on sale???? i'm telling ya!!! i was so ready to have a frigging temper tantrum in the grocery store!!!!
  • I sort of have one, it's here, so it's not a blog. Haven't updated it recently. Still getting used to this whole half-hour lunch hour concept.

LOL, yes I finally did read it. I made a point to read yours, but the others are going to have to wait. Feel privileged? Our stores let us split up the 3-fer kinds of offers - too bad they didn't at yours. Marketing does make it really hard to resist sometimes.
  • garden.. your blog is just soooo pretty!! Lovely job.

the link to mine in is in my signature.

  • Thanks! I'll pass your comment along to Mandi, who did the design. Wait until you see Howie's - it's so fun!

Hey, I'm a scrapbooker, too. I just don't get to it very often (need to get off the computer and do stuff with my hands sometimes!).
  • I can't wait to see Howie's. How much time do you dedicate to your blog?

I just got from a 3 day scrapping weekend... got 21 pages done .. I'm now up todate!!

Here is a link to my husband's blog.... warning he is very conservative.

  • How much time? Well, it just depends. I'll have days when I find a lot of interesting articles or have thoughts I want to share, and those days I'll post several entries. Then there are times I don't update it for over a week. I try to update at least every couple of days now, because that keeps fresh content and draws friends back. There are several folks whose blogs I read regularly, and vice versa. It's a fun community.

Programs like the wBloggar one I mention make publishing really easy from home. Blogger's own application online is great, too. It doesn't take any more time to create an entry than it does to write an e-mail (just has more thought put into it, most of the time, anyway!).
  • Blogging rocks!
I've found Blogger to be really user friendly. Just pick your blog title and template, and then get started! As for the time it takes, well it's all in how much you want to invest. You can update it daily or weekly, or even monthly! And it's just as Kimberlie (GardenWife) said, it's as simple as writing an email if you want it to be. A lot of people invest a little more time in the writing, but it's all in what you want to put into it. It should be a pleasure, not a chore. I really get a lot out of it, and find it to be a great means of communication with others, and I get so much support there. I love blogging!
  • Well...I do have a blog, but I don't post a link here because there's rarely anything in it about my weight-loss journey - its more of a political rant, "whacky" liberal type of blog with a definite Canadian slant (oh, the odd tidbit of figure skating gossip shows up for certain readers). I'm planning to start another one when I FINALLY hit goal to help me with maintenance, in the hope that writing daily will keep me focused (and distract me when a "munchy mood" hits). When that time comes I'll definitely post the link and will demand lots of comments, suggestions and encouragement!
  • Jill.. I'd love to see your blog.
I just started mine a few weeks back - and it was because of you guys here!
  • I'm like Jill, my blog is not diet related. Mostly it's how I keep in touch with my friends back east. Just a place to write. http://www.livejournal.com/users/sweetennui/

Funny jill, my Cute Boyfriend does a political blog too.
  • My best friend (who lives right here in town) reads our blogs to keep up with what's going on in our lives. They have three kids in their family now, and have a much different sleep schedule than we do, so sometimes it's hard to hook up. But when we do get together or phone, she'll ask about stuff she read in our blogs.
  • What on earth is a BLOG?
