I know there are several of us and maybe we could pick a close to midway spot to meet.
I know Angie and jfkla (Shelly) and I are in Oklahoma and I've seen a couple others post from Texas, Ark., Neb., Miss., Tenn., etc. Maybe we could try and coordinate a visit the same weekend as the northerners?

Can anyone say TUNICA!! I would totally be up for that! They even have charter busses in my area that will take you there and back for like 20 bucks. Cost is always an issue on my very limited budget, but I could probably swing something like that. Anyone else up for it?

Could you share about the place you are talking about? Where is it located? Is it known for something special?

Glynne - Tunica, MS is about 25 miles south of Memphis, TN. It's known for its casinos. They also have a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi and a pretty neat river museum. Of course, there's plenty to do in Memphis, too - Graceland, Beale St., the Memphis Belle, the Peabody Ducks.

Tunica sounds great. I've always wanted to go. Even if I have to drive, it's only like 6 or 8 hours. (I can't remember how far now. )

It's not hard to post a poll. When you post a new message, there is an option at the bottom of the page to post a poll and then you follow the directions on that page.

I will need at least a month's advance notice since I'm working weekends now to block off my time for the trip is my only concern. Other than that any weekend in the end of Aug. through Nov. (minus Thanksgiving of course) works for me.

I would still like to get together...just not sure if anyone else can. I think we're looking at the beginning of next year sometime at this point.

Keep it as a sticky ~ I think it would be fun, and would be interested, but so far none of them have worked out to be at a time I could go.
