Yogurt Fluff

  • From a diabetic cookbook - made with orange jello, it's sort of like a creamsicle. 32 calories per serving.

    Yogurt Fluff
    3/4 cup boiling water
1 pkg (4 servings) Sugar Free Jello, any flavor
    1/2 cup cold water
    ice cubes
8 ounces plain fat free yogurt
1 tsp vanilla or other desired extract

Stir boiling water into Jello in large bowl at least 2 minutes until
completely dissolved. Mix cold water and ice cubes to make 1 cup.
Add to Jello, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove any remaining
ice. Stir in yogurt and vanilla. Pour into 5 dessert dishes.
Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours until firm.

  • Hi, question.....
I'm brand new here (1st post), and have not started SB yet. I am waiting for my book, and trying to get some ideas of what to make. Anyway, on this, how many ice cubes do you use? Are they supposed to be melted before mixing with the other stuff? Thanks,
    Teresa
  • Teresa, I've done something like this before. Try about three or four ice cubes, and just put them in a measuring cup, then fill with cold water to the 1 cup line. The ice cubes just make the jell-o jell faster, that's all.

Good for you on waiting for your book!
  • This looks good! Thank you. Will try it right now.
