What are your favorite songs to workout to?

  • Hi everyone!

I would love to hear what songs others like to workout to. With several legal websites available to download songs from (like Napster), its fairly easy to burn your own custom workout CD. I'm finding the hard part is picking out what songs to get. So please share!

I'll start. I made my current workout CD from CD's that I already own. Here are some of my favorites:

    Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down
    Heavy - Collective Soul
    Crush - Jennifer Paige
    Push It - Garbage
Never - Moving Pictures (Footloose soundtrack)
I'm Free - Kenny Loggins (Footloose)
Echa Pa; Lante [Spanish Cha-Cha Mix] - Thalía (Dance with me Soundtrack)
Jazz Machine - Black Machine (Dance with me)
    Chinese Burn - Curve
  • One song I have always liked doing aerobics to (when I used to go to the gym many moons ago!) is "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark (aka Mark Wahlberg). It's got a really good consistent beat, and I don't believe the words are too bad, from what I remember of it. However, now that I am paying more attention to what I listen to, I may need to look that one up and see waht the actual words are before I recommend in the future!
  • Thanks, Straitlover!

Here are some other songs I've heard mentioned elsewhere:
    Eye of the Tiger
    I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor)
  • I like the oldies of the 50's and 60s.
  • Gym CD's
I'm making a Gym CD right now. I've got 18 tracks currently burning.

    N'Sync - Space Cowboys
Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You
Backstreet Boys - The Call (remix)
Tyra Banks - Shake Ya Body (yes, the model, she's got a single out now)
    Blu Cantrell - Breath (remix)
Deborah Cox - Up and Down
    Sarai - Ladies
    Destiny's Child - Emotions (remix)
Jade - 5,4,3,2 Yo Time Is Up
    Michael Jackson - Dirty Diana
    Kelly Rowland - Can't Nobody
    Marques Houston - Clubbin'
Toni Braxton - Hit the Freeway
Ricky Martin ft. Christina Aguillera - Nobody Wants To Be Lonely
    Spice Girls - Holler
Spice Girls - Right Back At Ya
Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life
    B2K - Everything

Those are definitely gym songs to me. I'm gonna head out to pick ups some batteries, then I'm going to the Gym.

P.S. "Good Vibrations" is an excellent suggestion. That's going on my next CD
