Pizza Soup

  • Due to all the tomatoes, this is not for induction!



    Barbara's Pizza soup

    3 lbs. hot Italian sausage
    5 pkg (3.5 oz each) pepperoni
    3 15 oz cans diced tomatos
    2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
    3 16 oz cans sliced mushrooms drained
    1-2 cups coarsely chopped olives (green and or black)
    1 lg onion finly diced or 1/4 cup dry minced onion
    2-4 tablespoons Italian seasoning
    Minced garlic to taste

    Add anything else you really like on your pizza--it needs to be
    fairly sturdy. Cook sausage until no longer pink-do not brown. Drain fat and place in big pot. Add all the rest of ingredients and after each tomato product fill can with water and add it to pot also. Add even more water if needed-a quart is not unusual but add to taste. Heat through, simmer for a few minutes, and serve over a big handful of shredded mozzerella.
    Don't forget the mozzerella--it makes the soup.
