  • Hello again, Joy. My overall goal is to lose 1 lb. each week, on average. October is a bit more than 4 weeks. So, I will aim for a total of 5 lbs.

    I'll join if I may. I've rather taken my eye off the ball lately & could do with making myself a bit more accountable.

    start: 16st 1.5lb / 225.5lb
    target: 15st 10lb / 220lb

    so, a target of 5.5lb loss for the month, starting today.

  • Hello Muffs & Joy. Welcome MrBadger.

    I didn’t quite meet my September goal and had a bounce up this morning to start the month (probably partially due to my crazy day yesterday of eating out of the house for all 3 meals). Well a new month & a new goal, so I’m going to set my goal for the month a drop below my September goal (183) so I’m going 182. It’s 4.6 from where I am today & 2.8 from where I was yesterday. If I get it I’ll set a bonus goal. My Immediate goal is actually to get below 185 & stay there for a week (that’s when I earn my first “treat” I set for myself).

    Here’s to a positive, productive month for us all. We can do it!!!!

  • Muffs: I went in the wrong direction, too. I suspect too much salt and some water retention from muscle-building yoga poses.

  • No change this morning...definitely not due to muscle building yoga poses in my case! Still, doing what I'm doing has got me this far, so I shall continue to wait patiently..

  • I was going in the wrong direction as well. Mine was definitely not due to muscle building anything. In my case it was Chinese food & visiting my mother-in-law for her birthday (she wanted to cook). I’ll be back to cooking this week. Also decided to be determined to get my steps in, even if that has to be at home walking in place. It’s rainy & cold and I had too much to do at work yesterday so didn’t make it to the gym. Here’s hoping I can get there today.

  • WendyWants2Change: I use YouTube to give me more entertaining indoor walk workouts. Leslie Sansone has a bunch of her old videos up on the Walk At Home channel. I also really enjoy the walking videos at Improved Health, Grow With Jo, and Sharona's Hill.

  • Scale continues to be stubborn! P.S. I'm not sure if this was just good luck or an anomaly...but the 3FC site today is operating at normal speeds, as opposed to its normal snail's pace. I hope whoever runs the site has managed to fix whatever the problem was that caused it to be so slow!
