  • Good Morning, Everyone!

    Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Stephanie got fantastic grades in algebra. All her friends were jealous of her abilities in class. Stephanie always smiled to herself. None of her friends realized that her father was a scientist who used algebra all the time. He tutored her every evening and helped her understand the problems that gave her friends such fits. There are times when we need special help. Without it we struggle twice as hard as we really need to. God offers to help us through our diets. Allow God to work within you as you diet, and you'll be surprised how much easier it is.

Today's thought: When the fat won't go away, take a moment then to pray!
  • Hi Everyone!

So now the lady I help in the office and who is also my walking buddy has tested positive for Covid. Her Husband, a deacon in our church also tested positive. He went to pick up some of our Pastor's belongings from his vacation. Pastor accidentally left some belongings in the hotel. Someone met the deacon halfway to get the belongings. He may have gotten it from touching the luggage. Pastor came back from vacation with covid. I work very closely with the lady I mentioned earlier. I tested earlier and I'm negative.

ETA: Another church member has tested positive, too.

    Isaiah 40:11
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Mary blew it. She had been doing so well, then she gave in completely. In a week she gained back what had taken her a month to lose. Depressed, she called her mother for comfort. Mom was always good at that. If anyone could get her back on the right track, it was her mother. She could always trust her mother to give her sound, loving advice. God is like that. We can trust that He will guide us along good paths. When we need someone to comfort us without condemnation, God is always there for us. He will gather us to Himself and make us ready to go on.

Today's thought: I may be weak, but I'm strong enough to call on God's help!

    Psalm 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

It was war! Greg looked at the bag of cookies on the table in front of him, and they almost made him cry. Why couldn't he just ignore them? It was as if they had some kind of magical spell over him. Closing his eyes didn't help. Neither did putting them in the cabinet; he still knew they were there. He was determined to resist their pull, but was he really strong enough? When the temptations get to be too much, we need to call on the Lord. In the midst of our stiffest challenges, He will truly save us.

Today's thought: I need God to save me from myself!

  • Good morning again! Had breakfast. Will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. Have a load of laundry that I did yesterday on the line drying today. 😃
  • well I started this am to log into the site. So every time I was near my computer I would 'click' to the next screen. Finally got here!

Today I am being adventurous with food. I have made seafood korean pancakes. They are more of a finger food but still good.

WI up a bit but below my goal weight. We ate out 2 days in a row and sodium has not been my friend.
Just an update on my mother. She is still improving. Today she showered unassisted from me. All I did was put the dirty clothes in the laundry room. Tuesday I take her to her pulmonary dr.where she is having her breathing tested, whatever that entails.

I will try the same method tomorrow to log in then unless I have a buch of time this week it will be next weekend before I check in. Stay focused chicks....we are stronger than we think
  • Good evening! I am finding that it's faster logging in with my phone then with my IPad. Went for four power walks today. The last one was to and home from church. My fitness goals for today have been attained. 😃
  • Hi Everyone!

Nancy Good to see you. For some reason I'm not having problems getting on here. I don't log out. I wonder if that makes a difference.
