I was happiest y to see 188.0 on the scale this morning. I know these are recycled pounds but I just want down. I felt that I did very well just eating a small portion of my dinner. That's what I need. I need to learn to stop when I'm satisfied. Although my meal was very good, I don't need to eat it all just because its sitting in front of me.
Trish, I think it you eat carbs you have to do a short eating window. That's how it works for me. If you had a bad day, just get back on plan. You can do it!
Now this guy in the book is talking about fiber. I get very little fiber. I don't get whole grains except for occasional oatmeal and what's in my bread. I bought some lentil soup but otherwise the only beans I get are in chili, occasionally. He explained how fiber keeps you from absorbing all the calories, and fiber supplements don't do the same thing. They just help you poop! I need to figure out how to increase my fiber.

The chapter about fiber makes the whole book worthwhile. It explains so much in a way I understand. Very convincing. Here's the thing. Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly and Ryan must be Vegan. She has become very thin. Today she said she eats salad and vegerables, chick peas and something else I don't remember. But she doesn't look healthy. When she was on the soaps she seemed to weigh more, never fat, but not skinny like a stick. Her skin and hair looked healthier, but she was younger and a lot was probably stage makeup. She said she went to a restaurant and ordered something that sounded like a vegetable, but when it came it was a fish, and it was not thoroughly cooked. She didn't eat it. I love fish but it has to be cooked well. Flaky.
Also he talks about eating food that contains a lot of water. Fruits and vegetables. And if you blend a lot of vegetables together then add water to make it a soup it fills you up more with less food. Drinking water with your meal does not do the same thing because the body drains the water and keeps the food intact and your body absorbs more of it.
So I'm starting to think of all the places I can order soup and salad especially over the winter. Just about everywhere we eat.
By the way, that cream I bought doesn't seem to be doing anything. I bought a tiny jar, 1.5 oz, to try, because its pretty expensive. If I don't see an improvement soon I won't buy it again. I don't really know what its supposed to do but I don't see anything different. Maybe my skin was already perfect!!
I should try it on my psoriasis.
