    Welcome to the July exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves. If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes, maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

    We have done so great...so far this year we are at 8,502 minutes

    I really want to push us for July, I know we can make this!

    Goal for July is 4100 Minutes!!


    We invite you to join us!

    To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes.

    Don't be scared or feel overwhelmed...we can do this!! Keep walking, keep working, keep going!! We are all getting stronger!!
  • 20 min hamstring and hip yoga
  • I just added to June...Didn't get a chance before...so add 76 minutes to June!

    July 3 - 34 minute walk.

    20 + 34 = 54 minutes for July!
  • July 3rd. 15 min. walk.

    54 + 15 = 69 minutes for July!
  • July 2 30 minutes swimming
    July 3 30 minutes swimming

    30 + 30 + 69 = 129 minutes for July
  • July 2 15 min strength training
    July 3 11 min walking

    15 + 11 + 129 = 155 minutes for July
  • 155 min + 20 min hamstring/hips yoga + 15 min yoga for shoulders + 20 min tai chi + 60 min wfc upper=270 min
  • walk 20 min+270=290 minutes
  • 290 min + 8 min arm weights + 25 min shoulder neck yoga=323 min
  • 60 minutes swimming and water aerobics
    323 + 60 = 383

    Have an awesome week everyone
  • 15 minutes strength training
    15+ 383 = 398
  • Look at us GO!

    July 3 - YMCA - elliptical 11 minutes, weights 45 minutes, elliptical 18 minutes
    July 5 - morning elliptical 20 minutes, lunch walk 18 minutes

    398 + 112 = 510 minutes!
  • 510 + 60 minutes hard labor = 570 minutes
  • I have had so much going on the last week I haven't gotten a workout in. I have to do better. I will contribute. I am 20 lbs from my next goal of 250. Workouts play a HUGE part in my weight loss.
  • 570 min + 25 min yoga for stress and anxiety + 80 min total resculpt + 16 min tai chi=691 min
