    In June I'll be trying my hand at Yoga (alone, in my living room, to avoid public humiliation) and also getting my daily H2O intake.

    I have cast aside all delusions regarding swimwear and becoming the next Torrid model, but I DO have a slightly overconfident goal of being 230lbs by June 30th. We shall see....Good luck darlings!

  • Thanks Rennie! I am officially more than halfway to goal now, since Decembers high weight of 295 yay! I had a slowdown last month but met goal (11.4# lost, goal was 10#) so I will set my goal at 11 pounds for June. My workouts have really improved my cardio health a lot but now a hilly over 4 mile walk in the park burns only 700 calories not 1000 like it used to. I have been setting the treadmill to an incline of 12 for 2.1 miles (40 minutes for me) though, which burns over 600 calories! I walk the track for the other 2.1 miles to get my 10000 steps in. Despite eating 1300 cals a day and exercising daily, I plateaued for 18 days in May but the weight began just falling off FAST when it ended, thankfully. I am enjoying fitting into the normal section in the store again instead of the pluses now (the biggest sizes at a 16, but hey, I am getting there!).

  • Spring has sucked. I've gained 45 pounds. Suck suck suck. There goes my hope of pulling off slutty skimpy Summer clothes. Ah well. Here I am to get back on track. I'm down a couple again, and starting June off at 245. I'm setting a very big goal of 20 pounds for this month because I am hoping the weight will at least start off quickly dropping, as I've been sedentary and overeating for so long...but I'll take what I can get. I'm sad that it will probably be Fall before I'm under 200 again. Guess there's nothing to do about it but start. Good luck, all.

    Traveller way to go on being halfway to goal, that is awesome! It's great that you are modifying your exercises to get over those plateaus.

    Hi everyone! This is my first time here and I’m really looking forward to it! Everyone's motivation and support are so inspiring!

    This month I’m looking to taper my caffeine intake (because the only caffeine I’m fond of is coffee with a lot of added calories), meet my H2O intake goals, make my Fitbit step goal every day, and to lose ten pounds- although I’d be happy with a bit more considering where things stand

    Day 117: 4.5 miles walked, 378.1 miles total – Hills higher and steeper. They are forced north out of their way. Still raining. Camp on a stony shelf by a shallow cave.
    Day 118: 4.4 miles walked, 382.5 miles total – Rain stops. Strider scouts. Start late. Turn SE, scrambling over rocky ground. Find a valley, but it ends in a high ridge. Climb ridge and camp in a saddle at top. COLD. Build a fire under a gnarled pine.
    Day 119: .7 miles walked, 383.2 miles total – (i actually walked a lot today but my fitbit was forgotten on the charger…)
    Day 120: 4.1 miles walked, 387.3 miles total – Slope beyond ridge is much easier. Bright, fair day. Strider briefly sees the Loudwater/Bruinen in the distance.
    Day 121: 4.1 miles walked, 391.4 miles total – Find Troll-hole. Continue on level path through woods.
    Day 122: 4.3 miles walked, 395.7 miles total – Stone Trolls. Rest. Sam recites “Old Troll”. Continue in afternoon. Woods.
    Day 123: 5.7 miles walked, 401.4 miles total – Return to the Road.
    Day 124: Day 124: 5.5 miles walked, 406.9 miles total – While looking for a place to camp, hear a horse: it’s Glorfindel!

    Day 136: 2.9 miles walked, 442.1 miles total – Leave early morning, hobbling along (around 7 a.m.)

    Day 138: 2.7 miles walked, 447.9 miles total – M Road plunges through a cutting of red stone with tall pines. Glorfindel says “Run!”
    Day 139: 1.5 miles walked, 449.4 miles total -Attack at the Ford! Glorfindel’s horse carries Frodo across Ford. Nazgul drown. Frodo falls.

    Vladadog congrats on your continued weight loss. Onederland is right there!

    So I did 30 minutes of weight training/leg and abs work yesterday. I figure I can do that 3 times a week, I know it will help me and weights is an important part of getting healthy too. But as usual after weight training, the scale was up this morning.
