DayDreamer26: Ninety-five AND baking?!!! In more ways than one I'll say. I admire your resilience, girl! I can relate, though. I'm originally from Nebraska and until I was about 12 we didn't have air conditioning. High humidity and heat...can you imagine! Miserable! I've lived in more moderate temps now for many years and I've become rather weather "wimpy."
  • Good morning everyone!

    Curvynotlumpy: Enjoy your vacation!!

    DayDreamer26: Way to go!!

This is my first day on a “normal schedule.” I was surprised I was able to fall asleep around 9:30pm last night and woke up at 7am without an alarm… well I shouldn’t say without an alarm, my pup woke me up (but she’s far more pleasant than an annoying alarm clock haha). I’m up a little over half a pound this morning despite staying on plan the last few days, but I didn’t really do a whole lot yesterday in terms of exercise. Going to go for a couple long walks today to make up for it and see how that works. Have a great day everyone!

  • Happy Tuesday!!

I have again undone the damage from last week, and I'm about done with cheat days. 100% OP from now on. A nice little NSV for me this morning, I was at the gym and after I did my strength training circuit, I thought I'd give doing a plank a try. I hadn't even tried one in two years and even then I cheated by resting on my knees. I got into the position with no effort and held two planks for 30 seconds each. I was so shocked! I could have attempted a third. My next goal is to hold it for 45 seconds.

    Onward and downward!!
  • curvynotlumpy: It was a friend's birthday tart, so it had to be done. :P I have always been weak to the heat. I am fine in the winter... who needs a heater?

RunningRedHead: It could be the change of schedule maybe? Give it a day or two, I am sure it'll be gone before you know it.

    ---

Yesterday was okay, pretty plain. I still had Cheesecake Factory leftovers, so I split that between Lunch and Dinner. Today I think we are going out to eat, but I might just take my own dinner.

201.3 this morning, inching closer and closer! Don't think I have much more to say... hope you are all doing great!

  • Laura: Way to go with your planks! That’s great! They’re tough! Great NSV

DayDreamer: I’m with you on the heat vs cold thing. Everyone looks at me like I’m crazy when I say bring on the crisp fall weather and the bitter cold of winter The change of schedule makes sense as the culprit. Thank you, I didn’t even consider that.
  • Good evening

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday. Another day that flew by for me. The days when I do the parent presentations at Summer Orientation move the quickest; I blink my eyes and it's five o'clock.

DayDreamer26: Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite places to eat and I'm relieved I don't live closer. I can always get at least a couple of meals out of one of their entrees. And I'm with with you and RunningRedHead in terms of thinking of fall and winter with summer barely beginning You aren't crazy at all. I those seasons.

LauraRVA42011: Firstly, on your plank NSV! Doesn't holding one make you feel and awesome? Secondly, I agree that cheat days can be a slippery slope. I understand the rationale, but for me, it's very easy to go off the rails.
  • Just dropping in really quick, so no personals right now since it is so late in the day...will pick back up on those tomorrow!

(((I did see a mention of Onederland, though, as I was scrolling through, so....congratulations, Vladadog!!! )))

Weigh-in was 225.6 today. There was no weigh-in yesterday, but I am sure it would have been a gain from an unexpected pizza overload night the night before! Thankfully, I was able to get in about 7 miles out walking on the 25th, because I ended up going out for a second walk in the evening after the pizza, trying to counteract some of the calories. That seems to have helped by this morning, because I was moving downward again. I've been keeping up with at least 3-3.5 miles each walk and will build back up to the 5 mile walks again soon. I've been better about the Netflix snacking and setting aside calories specifically for that without indulging too much. Feeling like I am starting to get a routine back down now.

  • Good morning

The day is just beginning so no news from me at this point. TOM started yesterday so I'm fighting bloat, fatigue and grumpiness. Good times! On a better note, several of our unit's staff are going out to breakfast to celebrate the end of the quarter. Breakfast food is my favorite so I'm looking forward to it.

    Wishing everyone a great day

Haven't made a ton of progress this week, but after last week's gains I'm okay with hovering around the same weight give or take a bit. Going for another 3-4 mile walk with the pup and finishing building my raised garden bed
Will log in later to read through everyone's updates. Have a wonderful day everyone.
  • bigjoe: Nice recovery from that gain! Keep up the good work.

curvynotlumpy: Good luck with TOM, and I hope you enjoyed the breakfast celebration!

RunningRedHead: Enjoy your walk and finishing up the garden bed! Sounds like it will be a nice workout overall.

Another late check-in, but still wanted to make sure I dropped in before the day was over! Weigh-in was the same today at 225.6 -- just not a day for movement, I guess. (I've been feeling blah and lethargic all day, so I don't blame the scale for feeling the same...lol.) But, it is still 3.2 lbs down for the week, so yay! Getting there little by little. Still getting in the walks, but need to work on the water...not back on track with that yet. Hope everyone is having a good night!

    Have a great day all!
  • RunningRedHeadand curvynotlumpy: Yes!!! Bring me the cold!!! I need it so much right now!

opheliaphoenix: That's great, 3.2 lbs! See? You got this!

    ---

The night before last I barely got any sleep (4hs) so, my weight was off. I was generally good... Well, I did have strawberry cake. The strawberries are all gone (we had 4 lbs!) so no more desserts for the time being.

My weight has remained the same.... I'm a tad disappointed since I was expecting some loss.

Oh!!! Tomorrow is the last weigh-in of June!! I didn't quite make it to my goal, unless I manage a 1.3 lbs drop over night . Lol Time is flying by... I need to start eating better calories. I have been indulging way too much on bad food, even when staying within calories...

Anyway, hope everyone is being good!

  • Good afternoon

The heat has returned! Well, the cool was fun while it lasted. I left work early for a dental appointment yesterday and that seemed to throw off my afternoon. Friday is garbage day but I put mine out soon after I got home from my appointment. I begin my vacation tomorrow so I immediately abbreviated the week for everything. Oh, well, back on track today.

opheliaphoenix: TOM always makes me tired so I found it difficult to pull myself out of bed this morning. Breakfast yesterday was and delicious! We ended up with 14 people attending when we were expecting maybe 6 or 7. Several staff have young children so mornings have different priorities. I was thrilled that so many made time for it. on your 3.2 pound loss! That's the way to end the month.

DayDreamer26: Yes, has the month flown by?! I barely noticed June. I why, but I'm excited for July.

RunningRedHead: Building stuff and moving are the best kinds of exercise in my book! They both have the ability to
  • Finally, June is on it's last day! I looked back and started the month at 252. Today I weighed in at 245.7. At least I recorded a loss. Bring on July!
