10 Days In The Life Boat #173

  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.
This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.
  • I know I posted my goals yesterday. Wonder where they went?
Ahhh, Found them posted after the Stop notice on the last thread.

Since I dropped 2, yes 2, Smart Points from my dailies last week my goals for this leg are to adapt and continue sticking to my lower WW points and using half or less of my weekly points.
  • 12 Days rowing hard and still dry. Feeling good.
  • Helloooooo ...... It's pretty lonely rowing by myself. Come on out ladies.

Day 13 in a row - goals met!
  • Sorry, Judy. It's been crazy work time lately. They took 2 points at once??? I didn't know they did that. How many dailies are you at now?

Me, I'm at the same goals: sticking to WW points, trying to exercise intentionally every day I can, staying REALLY hydrated. Having a hard time with that last one. I read that we're supposed to get 1/2 to 1 ounce per pound of body weight. Holy moly, that's a whole lot of water! I figured to get 1/2 ounce per pound I need to drink 17 glasses of water!

So today: 2 glasses with morning meds, 1 glass at breakfast (not counting caffeinated tea). 16-ounce bottle of Perrier, 8-ounce bottle of Pellegrino, 10 ounces of diet cranberry juice. 2 12-ounce cans diet ginger ale. 1 cup herbal tea, two cups of decaf instant coffee, oh, and one more glass of water with meds after dinner. That gets me to 14, which is way more than I normally get. But I'm still 3 glasses short. This is a LOT of water for me! So I'll focus on staying dry by drinking this leg!
  • I'm still in happy mode. Hope it sticks. I was falling out of the boat regularly so two weeks in a row meeting my goals feels like a miracle.

    Angela sip, sip, drink, drink!!!
I've been gaining and losing the same 15 lbs forever. I pretty much know where the pts change for me. I think the -9.2 was about a tenth of a lb into the 2nd pt on the high side and about the same at the lower end. If I remember correctly the lbs between points gets larger as I lose.

Weigh in tomorrow. (Unless they schedule our window replacements for tomorrow morning.)
  • 15 days in a row with my goals met and lost another 1.6 since last Thursday.
  • Lightly splashed yesterday but I had the pts to cover it so 16 days with goals met. I've got to row carefully to keep this up.
  • YAY for 16 days! I'm hanging in here. Have been working hard on this water thing the last couple of days. I've met my goal for one of my diet bets, but weigh-in isn't until next week, so I hope I can stay where I need to be!

    Row, row, row.....
  • Still dry! Make it 17 - even with having to calculate the SPs for Chinese.

Keep sipping away Angela. It will pay off big time.

BTW have you tried the Maple Grove Farms Sugar Free vinaigrettes? The strawberry and raspberry are 0 sp for 2 Tbsp.
  • Had a pizza slip yesterday. Pushed me over my goal of using less than half of my extra points per week so, even though I didn't eat my way through all my extras, I fell out of the boat. My solution is to pick up a few L.C. French Bread Pizzas to keep in the freezer to help control portion size when I have to have pizza. I like them but not enough to go "overboard".

So far today I'm way under my dailies. I see air popped popcorn as my snack this evening!
  • Dry Day 1 of my met my goals every day restart is in the books. YAY!
  • STOP

Head on over to slip 174 where we'll board and venture out again on a new leg of our journey.
