FiercyCupcake your positive attitude will get you through that plateau. And you're so right about the benefits of exercising going beyond losing weight.

curvynotlumpy how is your two-day assessment going?

Two days off and started off this beautiful sunny day with a 3km walk with Loki and when I got home, I went straight into a 25-minute full-body toning routine. Now chores await. I may not have lost any weight this month but I finished strong and will keep it up in July.

  • Good morning

    6/30: 209 lbs.

Not a lot to report here as I'm headed out the door for day 2 of my assessment meeting.

@Martine: Yesterday was a long day but very beneficial. In years past (many years ago) when the university was flush and was receiving a hefty amount of state funds to their budgets, all kinds of programs were developed for students. Everyone's heart was in the right place and there really was no need for accountability since the money kept coming whether a program served 25 students or 2,500 students. Now that state funding has decreased significantly there is increasing pressure to show through relevant data the work a program does. In short, what justifies program dollars. Certainly data is only one part of the story but I think it's an important missing piece. Today should be shorter, but we'll see. Thanks for asking!

My apologies Bookmark! I completely missed that you had crossed over into Onederland! to you! My goal is to join you by the end of July

I'll try to check back in later today if I can. I'm taking a few days off beginning Friday so my check-ins will be a bit spotty. Martine and pinkstarberry, I had no idea about Canada Day so have a happy one. Does this mean a day off for Canadians? And a happy and safe Fourth of July to those in the states!
  • Ending the month at 168 on the dot, very thankful I not only met but exceeded my goal for June. Even if it was by only two pounds, it makes a difference. I do feel I could've lost more had I been more careful towards the end with my eating habits. Anyways, this marks a 10 lb loss for this month, it feels really great to know I don't have to get up and dread looking at the scale with seeing the 180s anymore. Another 8 lbs to go before I hit my first mini goal of 160, but only 2.5 more lbs until I officially have lost 20 as a whole. Wow... Honestly, I have no idea where this month went, it just flew right by. I hope July slows down a bit so I can enjoy it more but otherwise, I'm satisfied with myself and look forward to hopefully reaching my first goal weight by the end of it.

Cheers to a great month and to all of you!
  • July check in

  • Down 0.9 from yesterday to 212.4. But overall up 0.6 for the month. July is going to be a better month.
  • Kukkie84 continued success in July. You're working hard, the results are coming.

Neptune very happy for you that you beat your goal

curvynotlumpy yes Canada Day is tomorrow and is an official day off. Some people have to work so they may get their day off another day though .

I just spent 2 hours scrubbing and cleaning. It's like this day is non-stop for me. Getting kinda tired...
