  • I am starting today.

I prefer the Flex plan because I am over 50, work full-time and eat healthy, but like my wine in the evenings. Points Plus kills that.

My portions are not in line and somehow I think eating 1/2 a frozen supreme pizza every weekend is okay (it's not).

    Anyway, anyone here???
  • new here too
I'm starting for the millionth time and I'm doing flex points. I think it's better than ppl. I gain weight on the ppl program. I haven't seen any recent post so I don't know how many people are here. We can do it together if you want.
  • That sounds dandy. I have 25 points per day. I went over a little last night...my cupboard is less prepared than I am. And today...well, more cabbage and less corned beef. But I am ready!!!
  • I'm just starting today, but I have my day planned so I hope it goes well for me today. Good luck today. I know we can do it.
  • TimeToLose,

What are your goals? I weighed in today as a benchmark...185.7 with a goal of 40 to lose.

I prefer Flex points because I am familiar with them and I get to have my wine at night. It is my sugar...I'm not a big sweets fan otherwise.

    What about you?
  • My goal is to lose about 140 pounds but, do it 10 pounds at a time. I'm a big sugar freak and also have a bad habit of eating when I'm bored. I know it will be a long journey but I didn't gain it in a short time so I can't expect to lose it in a short time either. Hope your day is going well and your on track.
  • Hi there, yes it is best to chunk it into manageable amounts for sure. Heck if I lose 5 I would pin a gold star on the end of my nose. Going well so far today. Of course, the night time is what kills me. Wine is my sugar. 3-4 glasses a night. That's a lot of points. I'm pretty good with other sweets because I'm getting my sugar in my wine. Sugar is crazy bad for us! I know very few that can stay away. That's why I like Flex points. In Points Plus they seriously ding you on sugar of any kind. Keep going!
  • Hi,

I too am following an older plan with great success. I like to be accountable for everything I eat - I get nervous about "free foods! Wish you the best of luck!!
  • Hello everyone! I'm new here and have just started the Flex plan for the second time. The first time around I was able to lose 70 lbs, but due to stressful circumstances over the past two years, have gained 40 lbs back...grrrrr (yes, Im a stress eater). I tried the PP plan and didn't like it at all so back to Flex I go.

Anyway, I'm on day two and am feeling extremely motivated! Nice to meet you all
  • I've done both plans (along with a bunch of others in the meantime ) and find that Flex works the best for me. I didn't like the "free fruit/veg' on the newer plan and I don't care how it's phrased (they're not "free", they're just zero points - OK so what's the difference???), it's a recipe for disaster for me. Yes, I'm one of those people who can happily pack away 4 bananas without thinking. Flex it is...I'll be joining you in a few days. I'm currently on a super-restrictive diet to shift pounds FAST, but Flex is going to kick in when I'm on vaycay and during my maintenance phase.

It's a great plan, as is any plan that works for YOU

I've done WW's a few times... But back in 2008 I did really well with it... BUT I don't remember if the plan back then was Flex or not... ?

And I'm the same way with bananas... Lol... It's funny but I've been worried that zero pts fruit will be a "disaster" for me on Points Plus and I'm not exactly sure what to do about it just yet...

Are there any links to the old Flex Plan that you know of that I could check out? Maybe refresh my memory... I could definitely use that to help me get back down to goal... Lol...
  • ^^^ Ms. TripSwitch, if you PM me, I'm certain I can help you out! I don't think that links can be publically posted on this particular forum.
  • Does anyone know what week 7 is on the flex plan 2003? I have everything except week 7. Just wondering if it was a recipe card or booklet.

    Hi,
I am over 50 and lost my weight on the Winning Points Plan. I now follow the Flex and prefer it over the PP+ plan. I have followed that plan and gained weight. So, I went back to my tried and true method.
