Hey everyone!!!

I FINALLY HAVE AN NSV TO SHARE! I lost a lot in 2013 but 2014 was a slow partial regain because I was just exhausted. I am back on it though and I have dropped a wedding dress size! I bought my Maggie Soterro dress in December and bought a 14 (my hips were 43 1/2). Now, my hips are a 41 1/2, making me a Maggie size 12!!!

The rest of me is already a smaller size because I am a pear shape so it is nice that my hips are finally catching up!! Part of me wants to call them and change the number but honestly, with my size 6 upper body, it's going to be a dramatic alterations overhaul (their words) anyway! So, for now, I strut!

This is the back of the dress- MADE for a pear who loves her butt!!

GREAT dress. I ended up ordering my dress in an 18W and having it altered down to a size 10. There are people they call "dress reconstruction specialists" if you get to that point, but be prepared...my alterations cost 2/3 the cost of my dress (and worth EVERY PENNY to have her taking it in every time I came in).

And I was worried about the cost of alterations but thankfully, my place has a guarantee. Whether it's one fitting or nine fittings, it's one alterations cost. I got it at Kleinfeld's Canada (surprisingly reasonable and not snooty!) and signed an alterations agreement to make damn sure! Everywhere else I looked at was "an estimate" but if I've learned anything about my body, it's that it likes to complicate things!
