  • Hey everyone! I hope you all had a heart felt Valentine's Day and there wasn't too much damage done with feasting on chocolate . I want to reach my goals by the end of 2015.

    I’m wondering would anyone like to join me in a yearly challenge? Now, don't panic at the thoughts of going into this from January 1st to December 31st! For me, it would be near impossible to stay focused for a full year so I have decided to split the year into 8 challenges or 8 mini targets to reach. Each challenge represents a time during the year.

    Challenge 1: New Years Day to Valentine’s Day (January 1st to February 14th)
    Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day until April Fools Day (February 15th to April 1st)
    Challenge 3: April Fools Day until Mother's Day (April 1st to May 10th)
    Challenge 4: Mother's Day until Independence Day (May 10th to July 4th)
    Challenge 5: Independence Day to Labor Day (July 4th to September 7th)
    Challenge 6: Labor Day to Columbus Day (September 7th to October 12th)
    Challenge 7: Columbus Day until Thanksgiving Day (October 12th to November 26th)
    Challenge 8: Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve (November 26th to December 31st)

    Weigh in days for challenges will be once a week. I weigh in on Monday, feel free to you edit your post with your weigh in date0.

    I will post a new thread for each new challenge as they approach. This means the thread will not get super duper long by end of the year. Also, anyone can jump in at any point in the year!

  • I did, in fact, go way too crazy on the chocolate yesterday. -.- New day, though.

    I'm getting in on this one, too!

    03/18/2015: 205 (I quit smoking after 13 years, so I'm thinking this is just body shock since I've been eating -pretty- normally. I'm trying to ignore the gain so it doesn't lead to smoking or binge eating or both, and trying to remember that staying on track will pan out eventually...still sucks, though.)
    03/25/2015: 202 (heading back down at least...hopefully will hit that onederland in the next week!)
    04/01/2015: 199 (not goal and not the greatest month, but, hey, finally in the 100's)

  • Starting out at 209.0 on Valentine's day. I already feel like a winner!!!
  • Ok same as the last I want to be under 300. My wife will out of town for the next six weeks on business so that could be good or bad. LOL Sometimes we really help each other and sometimes we hurt each other. I plan on eating a lot of subway. lol

  • I have been joining alot of different challenge's. I will reach my goal weight this year!

    Challenge #1:-9.6 LBS lost. I wasn't in the first challenge, so just took my weight loss from New Year's Day to Valentine's Day.

    Challenge #2:-8.8 LBS lost. Valentine's Day to April Fool's Day. (February 14 -
    April 1st).

    CW: 208.8 (-8.8)

    175 is the lowest weight reached on my last serious weight loss attempt before I gained it all back plus 10 extra lbs. Last April 1st, I was at 255 lbs. I had really serious doubts about relosing those 80 lbs. With any luck, this April 1st I'll be rid of all of the regain and ready to go all the way this time.
  • I'm in. 12lbs is a bit of a stretch for 6-7 weeks but I'm gonna try.

  • Thank you so much love2b150 for our shiny new challenge thread! <3 I overindulged & developed the stomach flu for Valentine's Day, doing better now but still a shaky tummy. Because I overdid it, my first weigh in will be 1 week from V-day and then after that I'll stick to Wednesday weigh ins. This past challenge I came in at 4.2 lbs. heavier than my goal, I've noticed I've come to a place where weight isn't just disappearing with healthier eating as much/quickly as it did when I first began these challenges (in the 290's back in May/2014) . I will dedicate myself to some physical activity to help move the scale, because I want to hit my goals, I want to be in Onederland this year! God willing, and me willing it will happen. My best to us all, let's do it loves!

    Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day to April Fools Day (February 14th to April 1st)

    Challenge Goal Weight: 237 (about 6.4 lbs. from my start)
    Challenge End Weight: 238.8 (1.8 higher than goal, I'll live, and I am still thankful to be close to goal!)

    Start Weight as of 02/14/2015: 243.4
    02/21/2015: 243.6 lbs. (.2+ which considering that a couple of days ago I was 249.2 lbs. and had been binging more on than off the past couple of weeks, it is a gift from God, praying I beat both numbers next week, 230's here I come!)
    02/25/2015: 242.6 lbs. yesterday it was 241.8, working towards the 230's!
    03/04/2015: 242.2 lbs.
    03/11/2015: 241! Woohoo 4 lbs. And 3 weeks to go!
    03/18/2015: 240.6 (recent low was 240 on 3/13, working for the 230's next week)
    03/25/2015: 241.6 (higher than last week, and the week before, but still blessed as it is lower than it was yesterday. I am not expecting to make goal of 237, but I will be ultra grateful to hit 239 by the 1st of April)
    04/01/2015: 238.8 lbs. (I was 237.6 yesterday which is 64 lbs. down for me from my start weight of 301.6 but I gained 1.2 overnight, I think it is my body testing me lol, so I will just work harder )
    End Weight: 238.8 - 4.6 lbs. from my start weight, thank you everyone I can't wait to begin the next challenge!
