  • MauiKai you are so close to goal that your weight loss is bound to slow down. I'm sorry you're struggling. Your body has probably gotten very efficient. Are you doing any kind of interval training?

The best advice I can offer is what's already in your signature! Don't give up. Slow progress is still progress and even if the scale isn't moving I'll bet you're still getting more fit.

Welcome Workinglikeadog! You sound upset to be up to the mid 160's and I'm thrilled to be down to the mid 160's, but I definitely agree with you that the 150's sound much better!!! I have no idea why but I'm more excited to get to that weight than any other decade so far.
  • Morning Chub and Maui.

Weight is 163 this am, headed in the right direction.

Last summer as my son was preparing to grad & go to college, I gained the freshman 10 , and slowly +5. Since being in menopause ALL and I do mean every pound, goes to my waistline. I'm not sure upset would be as appropriate as resigned. I love to eat/nibble and it has gotten me to this spot ---time for action, or I have to buy a whole new pants line.

It looks like you two have known each other from the 170's thread. Hope I can be a good addition to inspire you to goal(Maui) or the 150's. You said it best Chub, "Guess my "break" is over and I need to buckle down again".
  • 166.4 today.

Awesome progress Workinglikeadog! Keep it up! (down?!? Whatever - you know what I mean!)
  • lol yes, indeed we are all trying to keep it down here, I just wrote keep it up to someone who is doing very well haha

Technically I was supposed to join this thread last week but at 169.97 I was worried I would bounce up and lose motivation, this week I am 164.24 so I will be around here for a while, hopefully not too long

Can you tell I am excited about it? lol
  • Still sitting at 169.4
  • 165.9 and I noticed today - no more thighs rubbing together when I walk! Woo hoo!!

Welcome Lostkitty! 5 lbs in a week?!? Wow. Nice job. Guess you won't be here long but I'm going to enjoy the irony of having "Workinglikeadog" and "Lostkitty" in the same thread while we can!
  • Awesome chub!

    168.8
  • Chub, how awesome not to have thighs rubbing together when you walk, whoop! Yes, that is funny to have lost kitty and me in thread at the same time. You are making Nice progrees too.

    Maui, alright, going doing some,

Lostkitty, Your are losing fast if you were at 169.97 last week., wow!
Hoping your success is catching for all of us.

Hanging in at 163.5, needing a whoosh.
  • Thanks girls! I got tired of being OCD with my calories in MFP so decided to give it a break and this was the result, don't expect to keep going down so fast but it was a nice boost.

    163.20 today

@Maui: I love your signature, thank you for sharing your inspiration.

@Chub: omg, congrats! that's such a huge milestone!!

@workinglikedog: don't let that half a lb up keep you from doing your thing, I am probably going through rapid weight loss cycles because I have much more to lose than you and I did gain all of it pretty suddenly.
  • 168.2
  • 165.2 today.

I love this board. I threw that thigh rub comment out in passing, not even realizing how much you guys would totally understand what a big deal that is! I'm more excited about that than about hitting the 50 lbs down mark. It actually surprised me that anyone responded to that. Thanks for getting it!

Looks like everyone is making great progress. So happy to see MauiKai is moving again. Workinglikeadog hang in there and you'll start moving again. The whooshes will be fewer and further between but slow and steady works too!

Keep working gang. I don't know about the rest of you, but getting into the 150s and below is where the most visible changes really start showing up for me.

    Me too

AND, this means I am officially no longer overweight! I am "normal" now. (Though I may bounce "overweight" a couple of times before I get down low enough to be out of that range.)
  • OK, I'll join the party here.

168.9 today, lowest so far. Sunny too but not too hot, so exercise will be no problem!

I hope it will be the case for me too, as much weight as I've been losing it hasn't been showing that much.

    @Maui: congrats that's so cool!

    163lbs today and TOM
