  • It's time for a new week of talking On-Plan! This is the place for South Beach meal plan and food support, encouragement and questions.

    Anyone, from any phase (1, 1.5, 2, 3, etc.) can post, and those who are new to 3FC are especially encouraged to do so!

    This thread is for questions, sharing advice and strategies, and encouraging each other to stay on plan. It is not for chatting about daily life unrelated to this topic. Members have indicated that they would like to have chatting remain in the Daily Thread, so any posts that are off topic or chatty will be moved by the mods to the Daily.

    People in different phases of South Beach post here so it will help everyone if you indicate what phase you're in when you post. Thanks!

    While you may certainly find, from time to time, the need to ask for help after going off plan, remember that this thread is about staying on plan. When you share details of off plan foods you've eaten, it can upset, tempt, and otherwise frustrate other members, so please keep these details to a minimum.

  • I'm doing Phase 1 today:
    B: kefir, egg salad with red pepper slices
    S: sunflower seeds
    L: ratatouille with chick peas and a little parmesan cheese; 1 italian sausage
    S: cafe au lait, 2 brazil nuts
    D: meatballs with salad, parmesan cheese and a little blue cheese dressing
  • Phase 1, Day 2

    B: 2 deviled eggs, 2 slices deli ham
    L: More deviled ham -- not planned. They didn't have either tuna/chicken/turkey salad today, just a Caesar salad drenched in dressing and no protein except ... deli ham.
    Sn: Greek yogurt
    D: will be -- salmon filet and steamed asparagus

    Mmckellan, I'll be having your lunch for dinner the rest of the week.

    D: roasted plum tomatoes stuffed with ham and chick peas; topped with cheese
  • Phase 1, Day 3

    Breakfast: 2 devilled eggs, 2 slices deli ham
    Lunch: a good one at work! Chili, with baked summer squash on the side
    Snack: Green yogurt, iced tea
    Dinner: sausage with ratatouille
  • B: ratatouille with chick peas, italian sausage, parmesan cheese
    L: cheeseburger over lettuce with pickles, no bun
    S: cafe au lait
    D: greek salad, no tomatoes (at class)
    S: small piece of cheese

    A little too much fat today. I was just ravenous and felt like I should eat a lot of meat b/c of AF 'visiting' so often.
  • Phase 1, mostly
    I am just re-starting South Beach since I had great results many years ago. I recently lost most of my weight on a low carb diet but I feel that I need a change after a year of that. Then, I remembered South Beach and it has been a breath of fresh air (so to speak). I just started a few days ago and basically, I am just trying to maintain for a while but if I lose some more weight I'll be more than happy!
    SO glad to be back!

    Yesterday's Menu was:

    B: 2 eggs - 2 slices turkey bacon - 1 t. coconut oil
    L: Taco Salad (ff refried beans-3 oz. gr. beef w/taco seasonings-lettuce/cabbage salad-salsa)
    S: Weight Watchers Jalapeno String Cheese stick
    D: Bowl of Butter Lettuce leaves, 5 oz. gr. beef w/taco seasonings, diced onion, salsa - steamed green beans w/coconut oil 1 t.
    S: Weight Watcher Fudge bar & 1 deviled egg
  • Welcome back, 64peppergirl! We're glad you're back. I'm a restarter too, halfway through my first week.

    Phase 1, Day 4
    Breakfast: 2 devilled eggs, 2 slices deli ham
    Lunch: at work. Chunks of chicken baked with asparagus and red peppers. The soup was cream of potato, not on plan.
    Snack: Green yogurt, iced tea
    Dinner: sausage with ratatouille
  • Hello all I am 100% new to the SB way of life Lost about 50 lbs 10 years ago doing WW but just cannot get back into that, so starting fresh. (my hubby and I both actually). So here's hoping we can hang with this lifestyle change.

    B: Breakfast shake I found on "breakfast ideas phase 1" on this board, so yummy
    S: String Cheese Stick
    L: Grilled Chicken w/1 wedge cheese, steamed veggies
    S: Handful of cherry tomatoes
    D: Grilled Salmon with Middle Eastern Salad (from kalynskitchen) Im adding chickpeas to pump it up a little
    S: Sugar Free pudding

    This is quite a test for me because I am a pasta/rice lover AND a very enthusiastic wine drinker Fingers crossed!
  • Been a little off plan for the last couple days... managed to do a on plan phase 2 day today.... really need to be better

    oatmeal w/ pb
    v8

    Veggie soup
    Salad
    Diet coke

    Meatballs w/ nsa marinara & fresh parm
    Green beans
    Carrots (just a few)
    Glass of skim milk

    Cucumber slices w/ laughing cow
  • SMBoaty, I am also an enthusiastic wine drinker - it is my biggest challenge being on SBD or any diet for that matter.

    Thursday Phase 1:
    B: egg salad with red pepper slices (never had from yesterday)
    S: nf greek yogurt
    L: salad with chicken/sunflower seeds/goddess dressing/parm cheese
    S: chai latte
    ETA: my snack and I couldn't resist the wine tonight, trying day at the office: Snack was wine, roasted chick peas, cheese "cracker", wasabi peas - I know technically not allowed.
    D: ratatouille with meatballs
  • I'm new to South Beach as well. Only my 4th day in today and already down 3 lbs. Loving that I can have Greek Yogurt/Nuts/Avocado. Some of my favourite foods.

    I have a question though. Do you go into Ketosis when you're on South Beach?
  • The Ideal Protein people don't want me talking about South Beach on their threads, so hopefully you guys don't mind me being here lol.

    Just wanting to know if a person goes into ketosis on South Beach?
