Just got home from the gym. I'm still only walking/jogging 1/2 mile. Just not up to more yet after our time not going. I finish out the 30 min cardio by biking though. Didn't do any weight machines today but did do the hand bike. The electricity went out while we were there and it was getting really warm in there. I just wanted to come home.
Our son came over last night for a while and it was pleasant as we sat out on the patio and chatted. Sure enjoy him having him visit.
Cajun - Sounds like you had a fun weekend! GFY in passing up the pie! Pecan is my favorite so that would have been hard for me! Oh snakes...euu! Loved your dh's remark about the pink shorts! I have changed some colors like that a few times myself.
Jess/Donna - I try to drink a lot of water and I take a diuretic. I'd think that would take care of the sodium but I have to admit I have recently noticed some very minor signs of dehydration despite all my water. I suspect it is also caused by the new med but not sure as the diuretic can cause this too however I've been on it about a year and haven't had any symptoms til now so that makes me doubt its the cause. Some of the rapid weight gain could be partly sodium, but I don't think it all is. Hope they allow you to just work the hours you want and not keep pushing you to work more. A little extra money never hurts but make sure it's your call. Yes I realize the payments from both Medicare and Tricare haven't been enough and they have been cut even more now.
Wannabe - Thought I'd see how I do this week but if I continue to gain I will talk to my doctor. Can't go on like this or the advantage gained from the lower bs will be cancelled out by the problems caused by obesity!
Bobbi - My dh washes the same way which is one reason I now do all the laundry. When we first retired we each did our own. Of course I mess up now and then myself. I think most men just don't care that much about it but pink underwear will hopefully make him think next time!
Karen3 - Hope you've had a good birthday!!
Lucinda - Hi!! hope you're having a good day! I've never heard of milt but doesn't sound good to me.
