  • These days I'm low on motivation for losing weight, so I'm telling myself I had a few maintaining weeks. I'm also telling myself that the reason for eating a little more than I should was that I was more focused on excercise. It's so depressing to check in on a weight-loss challenge, when you haven't lost weight in almost four weeks. Anyway, I hope the faze is over and today I'm starting fresh.

    Weight lost in 1st challenge: 8.2lbs (3.7kg) - 7 weeks
    Weight lost in 2nd challenge: 5.9lbs (2.7kg) - 9 weeks
    Weight lost in 3rd challenge: 3.4lbs (1.5kg) for now - 9 weeks

    20/04/2014: 187.9lbs (85.2kg)
    07/06/2014: 184.5lbs (83.7kg)
    Goal weight: 181.9lbs (82.5kg) - 3.4lbs lost, 2.6lbs to go


    My goal for Challenge 3 was to get to 179.9lbs (81.6kg) and since I don't see myself losing 4.6lbs (2.1kg) in two weeks, I felt I needed to change it to a more reasonable number. That means I still lose 6lbs (2.7kg) in the Easter - Summer challenge.

    Just had a look at the spreadsheet and was updating it! Keep up the good work! And if things aren't going your way, don't give up - this is what I've been telling myself.

    I haven't been able to get on over the last couple of weeks because of numerous things going on and being super busy with work. My cousins were here for just over two weeks - amazingly with all the bad foods I ate I only gained 1lb!

    This challenge has just been a disaster for me. I thought I had it in me to do it but I didn't and failed. There is one week left in this challenge and I'm determined to drop 1 or 2lbs off my current weight. NO MORE GAINS!

    I'm about to make an exercise plan and see how I get on with it. I'm going to be strict on my eating (which is my biggest downfall) I have slipped back into really really bad habits over the last two or so months. I've gained a good amount of weight and looking at pictures of me is just depressing me.

    I will started a new topic for Challenge 4 early in the week - can you believe we are half way through 2014!!!

    Thanks for the kind words, velvetbean! I'm impressed that you've been in this thing since the beginning. Six months is a long stretch of weekly accountability. And you're down almost 20 lbs!

    Hang in there Dreamer 2012!! You've got this thing. Just the fact that you took on managing this year long challenge for everyone ( big thanks, BTW!) says you are totally committed. Bouts of diet fatigue happen, but you're in this thing for the long haul.

    Hang in there, Dreamer. A few bad weeks are frustrating, but you know you can get over them. I'm sure you can get it under control for this week, then we've got a whole new challenge for a blank slate.
  • Thank you for the kind words Today was a restart for like the 100th time at this point it's been so far, so good! I'm feeling pretty motivated again. I'm taking it bit by bit again like I did when I was successful at this back in the second half of 2012. I'm hoping for a repeat of back then. Good luck to all on the last week!
