  • Valentine's Day is 7+ weeks away. We can melt off some holiday pounds before the spring season starts!

    Who's with me?

I will be posting my daily meals, daily exercise and daily weigh in.
  • Mods, can you please fix the title to 40-somethings Thank you!!
  • I'll join you!!!! Hard to believe only 7 weeks. I will be in Mexico for a week early in Feb so this may be hard, but I'm in.

    Good luck to everyone.

    S/C/G - 160 / 156 / 140
  • $0 makes me feel so hip. Or hip hop.

I'll be here, working towards a good V day.
  • If I could be below 180 by then I would love that! I'm losing about 1/2 pound a week. I started Wellbutrin a couple of months ago and it has very much helped with my over eating. I basically eat like a "normal person" without really trying.

But I also want to walk more and stick to my sit ups/push ups/squats from now until then too.
  • Great title! As if we're getting a $ reward if we're successful with the challenge.

Would love to join in as well. My challenge is to do 50 mins cardio and 10 mins strength 3 times a week. Just got to get the motivation to exercise going. I have a love hate relationship with this.
  • Lol, Seagirl, just saw you siggy in your post above. Yes! Commitment not motivation is what I'm lacking!
  • I'm in. Newly participating in 40-something thread, posted my bio in that thread.

I decided I'm taking off today and tomorrow (Christmas Eve & Day), and then getting back to it the day after. Added about 2.5 lbs to my normal due to recent parties, would like those back off. Shouldn't take much, but checking in will be good.
  • Welcome seagirl, MarleneV and magical!

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I have been gone a while! I am finally moved into my new house, I absolutely love it and feel so at peace here. Of course there was drama with my ex..but that will never change. He's pathetic and I strive to always be the better person.
I haven't been dieting...I Pretty much have been eating what I want. I haven't gained, I haven't lost. I think all the physical activity of moving kept me from making huge gains.......
I feel like I have started a new life...so with that new life I need a new body and mindset...so yes....I am joining this challenge.....the past few challenges I failed miserably, although it was nice to check in with "the chicks" every day. It really is time to get serious though....this is the final leg of this "jouney" and I want to prove to myself that I can be healthy and fit again.........so count me in ladies! I'll post my starting weight tomorrow!!!
  • by the way, my bday is in feb..what better way to celebrate than by being fit and fabulous!!!!
  • I am in! I have been 'maintaining' since August (gaining and losing the same 5 pounds) and hope to lose 10 pounds by Valentines day. My challenge is exercising. I tend to do well the first two weeks of the month, then slack off the last two weeks.
  • I'm in. Would like to lose some weight. Will post starting weight on Monday.
  • Thanks for all the welcomes!

    Weight this morning - 128.5

B- egg, 1 slice bacon, orange
L- salad, chicken, orange, 8 animal crackers
S- 3 small toll house cookies
D- ham, potatoes with cream, salad, French bread slice, pink moscato
    S- chocolate cream pie
    E- 20 minutes elliptical

I planned on the cookies & pie. Never normally eat those, and can avoid the leftovers. Husband & older daughter leave on trip tomorrow, so they won't be here wanting all kinds of junk (and will take the cookies with them). They will be gone for 2 & 1/2 weeks.
