  • Checking in again...

getting closer to my 'ticker weight' again...

but mostly feeling in control again.... happy to report that more than anything else. the weight will come, but losing control is scarier.
  • Good news: Scale read 139.6 this morning and that's with sodium bloat so I believe it's safe to say I'm 138p again...or very close to it. Thank goodness, I was really scared after my buffalo wings and McDonald's extravaganza the other day.

Bad news: I received some sad news and haven't slept well for 2 days so exercise is once again on the back burner. I will try to muster up some motivation tonight.
  • Great exercise day, probably overdid on the pizza, but it is the weekend.

  • I had a very busy day today....got up and cleaned the house, went to the gym, ran errands, took son to his soccer game, hosted my teenager's birthday party, ran more errands and am finally sitting down for the evening...there are still a few random kids in the house but they are here a lot so it's no big deal....ate within plan this morning, had a moderate amount of cheesecake for the party, and am having pizza tonight and will be done eating....my whole body is sore

    Katydid Congrats on the 143!

Inkrid Keep up the great work!

Kelijpa I bought some more of the Artisan Bistro frozen salmon dinners. I got them on sale for 50% off! It's a great deal since the salmon is all wild caught and the other ingredients are organic. Good luck with your plank challenge!

Good job with feeling better in control. I understand that other feeling and it doesn't feel good. Keep working it!

Novangel Congrats on the 139.6! Sorry about the sad news.

Alaskanlaughter Enjoy the rest of your evening.
  • Diana, you're so kind to comment on everyone's days

    Today I had:
-vanilla protein shake made with half a cup of milk and half a cup of water
-half a cup of cottage cheese
-a bowl of chicken enchilada soup (posted the recipe here if anyone's interested)
-a quesadilla made with a low carb tortilla and cheddar cheese

Total calories about 825 according to MyFitnessPal. It was another kind of odd day. Usually I get more fruits and veggies, I did the quesadilla instead of raw veggies because this is my third day in a row of consuming a kind of low number of calories- yesterday and the day before were about 650 each. I don't actually aim for that low, it just happens sometimes.
  • Super proud of myself! This was the first Saturday in months that I've stuck to my calories!

    Food: 1,500 Calories

    Exercise: Jillian Michaels' 6 Week 6 Pack lvl 1 = 35 min
  • So frustrating! Can't have one "Normal" meal without stalling! (And the meal could have been worse!) DH wanted Chinese, so I got the tomato and avocado salad, had a little bit of the beef and broccoli and polished off the veggies no one wanted.

I am impatient, but one meal stops progress? AaRrGgHh!!
  • Good Morning, Everyone!

Last night I added on: Restorative Poses for Relaxation from Yoga for Stress Relief

I noticed yesterday that the angioedema started flaring up a little more than normal. It's always something.

    Calories for yesterday: 1545 +
    Weigh In: 162
    Up: .8

    Have a great day!
  • Starting off the day with carrot, apple, plum juice (home made) since I'm having Chinese with my brother and fam for belated birthday lunch.

Diana, I'll have to look for that salmon, sounds great, thanks. The other night when we got the shrimp I was looking at scallops, seared scallops sounds divine.

The pizza didn't kill me, only up .2 today, good thing I did extra exercise

    Best to all
  • I am still alive.

Work has been real busy in Turkey and Istanbul was a lot of fun.

I have been weighing in on and off. I have continued to work out twice a day but have been running 5ks instead of 10ks to save time.

My diet has been mostly on track. Tons of fresh fish and a few desserts but mostly OK.

Anyway, I think I will be poking my nose in every now and again rather than a daily check in. At least until I get home on Friday.

FIL went back to the UK yesterday. He was flown first class with a doctor and then taken by ambulance from the airport in the UK to the hospital. I hope he will be OK.

    Take care.

THIS is exactly why I don't do the juice fasts, and extreme dieting anymore. (or at least not at the moment)

It is counterproductive for me because I see something like progress and then it feels like as soon as you lick something that is remotely like a real food product your body responds by jumping up in weight.

I'm a firm believer in calories in vs calories out (with no specific issues like medical problems involved) BUT there is something about these kinds of diets that just absolutely freezes up when you introduce any type of real food.

Even when you lose down to where you want to, you have to go at least 5 to 10 lbs under, and it's mentally hard to deal with seeing the scale skyrocket for the first few days.

I know some that do really well on it, but I just can't take the up and down of it all.
  • It is a mental thing for sure. It's not only what you eat, it's also how much you eat. Add in water and exercise, etc.! I don't view using the Nutri-Bullet as extreme dieting as it is a blender. LOL. I'll stop calling it "juicing" though, as technically it's not that. I do eat real food ~ but having too much of it got me in trouble in the first place!
  • I am not feeling good but im not quite sure what is wrong it might be a very slight head cold, it might be exhaustion from the last busy week, it might be worn out from working out, it might be a bit of dehydration, not sure....but i'm not feeling good...I am taking an intentional day of rest from the gym and don't have much else going on today....i'm going to eat well, get some liquids in me, take an allergy tab and relax today and see how that goes...I also wonder if it's a delayed thing from getting hit in the head by a football on friday
