    You're on!
  • Lost 1.8lbs this week. yay! Slowly creeping to 269.
  • Down another .8 this morning. 1.9 to go!
  • Nice loss, 2fat2jump.

Is it always so quiet in here?
  • Down another 1.6 this morning. This is absolutely crazy! I haven't had a whoosh like this since probably December. I am so....close....! Ah!

Mulse, I've only been here for a few weeks. There used to be more people checking in, but I'm not sure where they've gone. I know a couple have moved on to the 260s thread.

Any plans for the weekend? I really wanted to drag my dh and our dogs to the park this weekend because all of the dogwood trees around here are blooming, but alas the weather is not cooperating. Hopefully we go somewhere. Spring is here and I want to be outside! Running out of time before the sweltering heat of the southern summer moves in.
  • I had plans but they've been railroaded by a blizzard. I'm in Northern Canada and we have about another 1-1.5 months of winter left yet. Blarg. Your weekend sounds wonderful!

I had a bit of a whoosh myself last week. I was steady all week and then the day before WI, went down 3lbs.
  • Whoosh weeks are the best and I've had an incredible one this week. I'm sure it will be a while before I see one like that again. The stars must have aligned. haha

Well, I dropped again this morning and hit the 260's! I guess that means I'm off to the next thread. Kind of weird to post and run... Hope to see you there soon!
  • I'm here!

I've been lurking for a while, but haven't posted because I'm so frustrated. But if Jump has moved down, I guess I should start sharing . . . working with a trainer for the last two months, eating very carefully --and not a pound lost.

Literally--I went from zilch physical activity (I've had a series of injuries on my ankles and feet; just got medical clearance to start low impact cardio again--to five days a week in the gym, weight training and stepping and rowing and boxing (and tai chi, which I've discovered is Ultimate Awesome).

There's been good news--I've lost almost four inches in my bust, two inches in my "bra strap", and an inch in my hips.

But I want my ticker to move!!!

I've learned when I hit stalls like that, to simply switch diet plans for a bit until it gets going again. For example, I was doing high fiber for a few weeks- when I hit a stall, I started doing a modified version of Paleo (we eat some dairy) with my youngest daughter, who wanted to lose weight for her prom. I decided to join her in doing this, because I was at a stall for three weeks and didn't lose anything. Paleo sure got the scale moving again- I lost three pounds last week, hoping to lose some more this week. Other diets I switch around with- Carbohydrate Addict's Diet, Belly Fat Cure, Calorie Counting. I merely switch plans, to keep my body guessing.

I'm hoping to get out of the 280's soon. the only drawback to Paleo diet is there is a LOT of cooking involved- I feel like I never leave my kitchen some days. I promised my daughter I would do it with her until her prom, so I am stuck. *sigh* Guess I will just have to tough it out, lol!

Have a great day, everyone- looks like I am joining you all for however long it takes me to get down to 269. Good luck to you all!
  • Back from my vacation and only gained 2.6 after 10 days which included a 4 day cruise. Too bad I had already gained back most of what I had lost anyway. But still glad that I did not gain too much on the trip. Had a feeling over my vacation that I needed to get my butt in gear so I am looking forward to starting to lose again. Go me!
  • Is anyone still around? I was hoping we could help cheer one another on like the other threads.

My darling daughter and I switched over to CAD diet- Paleo just wasn't cutting it for us. We both lost on it, but it was a hard diet to stick to. She lost five pounds the first week, then gained back a pound the second week. I lost three pounds the first week, then 4 ounces the second- big whoop! At least it helped break my stall, though, and got the scale moving again.

I hope everyone is doing great on their weight loss. Let's get this thread going again and support one another!
