Excersize and Goals

  • I have just started to get into a routine and am considering joining the "November Excersize" thread to help stay accountable. Here's my question ... I am walking on the treadmill and doing crunches in the fitness center @ my work - I have 103 days free of cigarettes (yayyy me) and have been walking/crunching on my breaks and lunches instead of standing outside smoking. Something like 15minuts/15crunches 3-5 times a day. I feel like doing something is better than doing nothing, and plus I am just starting out. I have never been a regular excersize person. So in closing - Do you think this is a good start, and would I just add all my minutes/crunches at the end of the day for my excersize totals ... Sorry about the ramble ... Thanks everyone
  • I think that's great. Any amount of exercise helps. I remember when I gave up smoking I started doing aerobics. You're doing good, keep it up.
  • Congratulations!! Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I have ever done. And I agree with Happy, any exercise is good exercise!! You're doing awesome!
  • I agree - I quit smoking 11 years ago and it's one of the hardest things ever. So congrats to you!

I think it's a great goal. Participating is half the battle!
