Breaking Out the Winter Clothes ...

  • So I know I've been gradually shrinking out of my summer clothes, but now that I've gotten into my winter clothes it's a bit of a shock. Pants that I could barely zip when I put them away last year are now way too baggy. My sweaters still 'fit' but I have to decide if they look good oversized ... my favorite one is now hanging down close to my knees when it used to barely cover my rear!
  • Despite the possible annoyance of having to buy smaller fitting winter clothes, I bet you're still pretty excited I can't wait to have that problem, I tell you what.
  • Good for you!
  • Awesome problem to have!!!
  • What a great "problem" to have! I'm down 31 pounds, and all my jeans from last year are too big. I bought one pair in a size smaller, but I'm hoping if I can hold out for a couple more weeks, I can go down one more size. I also bought a few shirts and sweaters a size smaller and found a few things in my closet that didn't fit or look nice last year, that I can wear now. I don't want to spend too much on clothes that won't fit for long, but I think I deserve a few things that actually look good on me. So do you! Happy shopping.
  • Over sized sweaters can be rocked with leggings and boots, just belt or scarf it to define a waist or lengthen the torso
  • Congrats, gotta love it! I was hoping for that this winter myself, but something . . . happened.

Don't forget that if you're in dire need of better-fitting clothes but don't have the budget for it, you can make some awesome finds at the thrift shops. They've been a lifesaver for me throughout my pregnancy, and I can't wait until I can shop for smaller sizes at them after the baby's here.
  • Good for you! Most of stuff I have stashed still doesn't fit cause my arms are too big. Enjoy! Hoping to have the same fun this spring!
  • I'm going to have to go thrift shopping. None of my pants fit. I figure winter we'll go into our cocoons (big sweaters, jackets and anything we can use to keep warm) and emerge as skinnier butterflys! I have noticed that with the weight I've lost I'm colder than I was.
